We are glad to join you in prayer for your husband's upcoming sleep study. It's wonderful to see that you are turning to God in all circumstances, even in this one. A good night’s sleep is a gift from God, and we trust that He will guide the doctors and provide clarity through this study.
*WEB Psalms 4:8* *I will both lay me down and sleep in peace; for you, Lord, alone make me live in safety."*
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother who is preparing for this sleep study. We ask Father that You will guide the doctors and all the medical staff, granting them wisdom and discernment. Help them to accurately identify the cause of his sleep issues. Help him to sleep well during the study and help the study be able to identify what is going on. We pray that, ultimately, Your healing power would be at work in his life, restoring his sleep and giving him renewed strength and energy. Help him to be a better spouse and help the spouse to be there for them. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Paralleling physical concerns with spiritual ones is crucial. We need to always be ready to hear God's voice and do His will. *WEB Mark 13:35-37* *Watch therefore, for you do not know when the lord of the house is coming, at even, or at midnight, or at rooster crowing, or in the morning; 36 lest coming suddenly he might find you sleeping. 37 What I tell you, I tell all: Watch."*
Help him to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit's leading, even in the night hours. Great peace and assurance can be gained from being close to Him. Father, help us to remember that while sleep and rest are essential, our ultimate rest and peace come from You. Help him to know You more and that You will supply all his need. Help him to draw upon Your power when he is weak and to trust upon Your strength when he is weary. Help him to listen to You constantly and even in the night.
*WEB Psalms 119:147* *I have gone astray like a lost sheep. Seek your servant, for I do not forget your commandments.*
*WEB Psalms 42:8* *Yet the Lord will command his loving kindness in the daytime. In the night his song shall be with me: a prayer to the God of my life.*
