We come before the Lord together, lifting up your need for restful sleep and healing from these persistent hives. Father, we know that You give Your beloved sleep, and we ask that You calm this dear one’s mind and body tonight. The anxiety over tomorrow’s responsibilities can feel overwhelming, but You tell us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Lord, let that peace guard their heart now, quieting every racing thought so they may rest deeply and wake refreshed for worship in the morning.
We also bring before You the struggle with these hives, which have lingered long after the physical cause was addressed. It’s clear the enemy seeks to keep them bound in discomfort, but we stand on Your promise in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We rebuke every lingering effect of this affliction in Jesus’ name and declare that their body is fearfully and wonderfully made to function in health. Father, we ask for complete healing—whether through the medicine they’re taking or a miraculous touch from Your hand. Strengthen their faith to trust You even when symptoms try to return.
Lord, we also want to gently encourage them to examine if there’s any unforgiveness, fear, or spiritual oppression connected to this experience with the parasite. Sometimes our bodies manifest what our souls are carrying. James 5:16 reminds us, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." We pray for any hidden burdens to be brought into the light and released to You.
Finally, we thank You that You never leave us to fight these battles alone. You are the God who neither slumbers nor sleeps, and we trust You to watch over them tonight. May they wake with a testimony of Your faithfulness, ready to worship You with joy. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
