We hear your heartfelt cry for your sister, and we join you in lifting her up before the throne of grace. Your love for her is evident, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God’s protection, guidance, and transformative power in her life.
First, we must address the foundation of our prayers. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you"* (John 16:23 WEB). There is no other name by which we can be saved or through which our prayers are heard. If your sister does not yet know Jesus as her Lord and Savior, we pray that the Holy Spirit would draw her to Himself, that she may confess with her mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in her heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9 WEB). Salvation is the first and most critical step in walking in the light and being protected from evil.
We rebuke every form of temptation, bad influence, and spiritual attack that may be seeking to ensnare your sister. The Bible warns us, *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour"* (1 Peter 5:8 WEB). We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB) and that the blood of Jesus covers her completely—from the top of her head to the soles of her feet—as a shield against every scheme of the enemy.
We pray that the eyes of her heart would be enlightened, that she may know the hope to which God has called her (Ephesians 1:18 WEB). May she surrender every area of her life—her choices, her relationships, her thoughts—to the Lordship of Christ. We ask that the Holy Spirit would fill her, heal her physically, spiritually, and mentally, and lead her into all truth. May she walk in the light as He is in the light, experiencing the fullness of joy and peace that comes from abiding in Christ (1 John 1:7 WEB, John 15:11 WEB).
We also lift up your own heart in this matter. It is natural to feel burdened for those we love, but we must remember that God’s will is perfect, and His timing is sovereign. Trust in Him, knowing that *"the Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9 WEB). Continue to intercede for your sister, but also release her into God’s hands, knowing that His love for her is greater than yours.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this sister to You, asking that You would draw her close to Your heart. Lord, we declare that no evil shall harm her, no temptation shall overtake her, and no bad influence shall lead her astray. Cover her with the precious blood of Jesus, from the top of her head to the bottom of her feet, and fill her with Your Holy Spirit.
Father, we ask that You would open her eyes to see Your truth, her ears to hear Your voice, and her heart to receive Your love. Heal her physically, spiritually, and mentally, and restore every area of her life that has been broken or wounded. Guide her steps, Lord, and let her choices be aligned with Your perfect will. May she walk in the light of Your presence, experiencing the joy, peace, and wholeness that only You can provide.
We rebuke every spirit of darkness that seeks to deceive or destroy her, and we declare that she is more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus (Romans 8:37 WEB). Strengthen her faith, Lord, and let her know that You are with her every step of the way. We also pray for wisdom and patience for her family, that they may trust in Your timing and Your plans for her life.
Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your unfailing love and Your power to transform lives. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
