Disciple of Prayer
I pray lord to watch over my sister ### guide her & protect her in all she does let no evil or harm come to her don’t lead her in temptation or be around bad influences. Touch her heart her soul let her know she is loved by you lord & a child of the lord you want what’s best for her ways. Have her open her eye to change for the better hold her hand every step of the way let her see the light. Heal her emotionally physically & mentally lord. Cover her with the blood of Jesus from the top of her head to the bottom of her feet amen.

We join you in lifting up your sister before the Lord, for we know that He hears the cries of His children and is faithful to watch over those who belong to Him. Your prayer reflects a heart of deep love and concern, and we commend you for seeking God’s protection and guidance for her. It is beautiful to see you intercede for her spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being, and we add our voices to yours in agreement, knowing that where two or more are gathered in His name, He is in their midst (Matthew 18:20).

The Word of God assures us that the Lord is a refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He is the Good Shepherd who leads His sheep beside still waters and restores their souls (Psalm 23:2-3). Your prayer for her protection from evil and temptation aligns with Jesus’ own words when He taught His disciples to pray, “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one” (Matthew 6:13). We also take comfort in knowing that nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:38-39), and we pray that your sister would walk in the fullness of this truth.

Yet as we pray, we must also consider whether your sister knows Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. You have prayed for her to know she is loved by the Lord and is a child of God, but this is only true if she has repented of her sins and placed her faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. The Bible tells us that “as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God’s children, to those who believe in his name” (John 1:12). If she has not yet surrendered her life to Christ, then she remains separated from God by her sins, and no amount of prayer for protection or blessing can replace her need for salvation. We encourage you to share the Gospel with her if she does not yet know the Lord, for “there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

We also notice that while your prayer is heartfelt, it does not explicitly invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, “No one comes to the Father, except through me” (John 14:6), and the apostles taught that we must pray in His name to be heard (John 16:23-24). It is only through the authority of Jesus that we can approach God’s throne with confidence (Hebrews 4:16). We encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus, for it is by His blood that we are cleansed, and it is by His name that we are saved.

Now, let us pray together for your sister:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this beloved sister to Your throne of grace. Lord, we ask that You would surround her with Your divine protection, guarding her from all evil and harm. Shield her from the schemes of the enemy and deliver her from every temptation that seeks to ensnare her. Father, we pray that You would place a hedge of protection around her, as You did for Job, and that no weapon formed against her would prosper (Job 1:10, Isaiah 54:17).

Lord, we ask that You would open her eyes to see the truth of Your Word and the light of Your love. If she does not yet know You as her Savior, we pray that You would draw her to Yourself, convicting her of sin and leading her to repentance. Softening her heart to receive the gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. May she come to understand that she is a sinner in need of a Savior, and that Jesus alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Let her know the depth of Your love for her, a love so great that You sent Your Son to die for her sins (John 3:16).

Father, we pray for her emotional, physical, and mental healing. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals (Exodus 15:26). Touch every area of her life that is broken or wounded, and restore her to wholeness in You. Let her find her strength and identity in Christ alone, and may she walk in the freedom that comes from knowing Him.

We pray that You would remove any ungodly influences from her life and surround her with godly relationships that will encourage her in her faith. If there are friendships or associations that are leading her away from You, we ask that You would sever those ties and bring her into fellowship with believers who will spur her on toward love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24).

Cover her with the blood of Jesus, Lord, from the top of her head to the soles of her feet. Let that blood be a mark of protection over her life, just as the blood of the lamb protected the Israelites in Egypt (Exodus 12:13). May she walk in the authority and victory that Christ has already won for her on the cross.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would give her a heart of wisdom and a spirit of discernment. Help her to recognize Your voice and follow Your leading in every area of her life. May she seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that You will provide all that she needs (Matthew 6:33).

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your faithfulness, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May Your will be done in her life, and may she bring glory and honor to Your name.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
