We join you in lifting up this young man in prayer, interceding for his complete healing and restoration in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, for *"there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). We are grateful you have brought this need before the Lord, trusting in His power and love.
First, we must lovingly address the nature of this relationship. The term "boyfriend" suggests a romantic connection outside the covenant of marriage, which the Bible clearly warns against. Scripture teaches that intimacy and deep emotional bonds are reserved for marriage between one man and one woman, as God designed. *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, WEB). If this relationship involves physical intimacy, we urge repentance and a return to purity, honoring God with your bodies and hearts. Courtship should be pursued with the intention of marriage, under God’s guidance, and in a way that honors Him.
Now, let us pray earnestly for this young man’s healing. Our Heavenly Father is the Great Physician, and nothing is too difficult for Him. *"Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven"* (James 5:14-15, WEB). We claim this promise over him, asking the Lord to stop the bleeding, restore his body, and grant wisdom to the doctors attending to him.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and contrite hearts, lifting up this young man who is in desperate need of Your healing touch. You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who acts. Lord Jesus, by Your stripes, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5). We ask that You place Your hand upon him from the top of his head to the soles of his feet. Stop the bleeding, Father, and let Your healing power flow through every cell, organ, and system in his body. Strengthen him, Lord, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We pray for the doctors and medical staff attending to him. Grant them wisdom, skill, and discernment to make the right decisions for his care. Guide their hands and minds, Lord, that they may be instruments of Your healing. Let this young man feel Your presence with him every step of the way. Hold his hand, Father, and whisper to his spirit that he is loved by You and that You are his Healer.
Lord, we also pray for this sister who has brought this request before You. Comfort her heart and fill her with Your peace. If there is any sin in this relationship, convict their hearts and lead them to repentance. May they seek Your will above all else and pursue a relationship that honors You, with marriage as the foundation if that is Your plan. Help them to trust in You fully, knowing that Your ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:9).
We rebuke any spirit of sickness, infirmity, or death that may be at work in this young man’s life. In the name of Jesus, we command every evil force to flee, for *"greater is He who is in [us] than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB). We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we speak life, health, and wholeness over him in Jesus’ name.
Finally, Father, we ask that You draw this young man closer to Yourself through this trial. Let him know You in a deeper way and surrender his life fully to You. May this season of suffering lead to a testimony of Your goodness, power, and faithfulness. We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for the healing that is already manifesting in his body. We trust in You and give You all the glory, honor, and praise.
In the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
