We join you in lifting up your sister before the Lord, interceding for her protection, healing, and transformation in every area of her life. Your heart for her is evident, and we stand with you in agreement, knowing that God’s will is perfect, and His power is made perfect in weakness. While your prayer is earnest, we notice that it does not explicitly invoke the name of Jesus Christ as the authority through which we pray. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved. As Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). Let us always approach the throne of grace boldly, but only through the name of Jesus, who is our advocate and high priest.
Your sister’s struggles—whether spiritual, emotional, or physical—are not hidden from the Lord. He sees her heart, her influences, and the battles she faces. We pray that she would surrender fully to Him, for it is in surrender that we find true freedom. The enemy seeks to deceive and destroy, but Christ has already overcome the world. Let us pray that she would walk in that victory, turning away from any influence—internal or external—that draws her away from God’s perfect will for her life.
The desire for her to live a "normal, happy, healthy life" is good, but we must remember that true fulfillment is found only in Christ. A life centered on Him is not merely "normal" by the world’s standards but transformed by His grace. As Romans 12:2 (WEB) tells us, *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."* Let us pray that she would seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to her (Matthew 6:33, WEB).
We also lift up her role as a mother, for the influence she has on her daughter is profound. May the Lord grant her wisdom, patience, and a heart that reflects His love. Proverbs 22:6 (WEB) reminds us, *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."* Let her daughter see in her a woman who fears the Lord, walks in His ways, and finds her strength in Him alone.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the love You have for our sister, a love that is deeper and more powerful than any struggle she faces. Lord, we ask that You surround her with Your hedge of protection, as written in Job 1:10 (WEB), where Satan himself acknowledged that You place a hedge around those who belong to You. Father, let no weapon formed against her prosper (Isaiah 54:17, WEB), and deliver her from every snare of the enemy. Break the chains of any ungodly influence—whether from past relationships, harmful habits, or her own fleshly desires—that seek to pull her away from Your perfect will.
Lord Jesus, You are the Great Physician. We ask for Your healing touch upon her body, mind, and spirit. Restore her strength, renew her mind, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7, WEB). Open her eyes to see the path You have set before her, a path of righteousness for Your name’s sake (Psalm 23:3, WEB). Convict her heart of anything that displeases You, and give her the courage to turn away from it. Let her find her identity in You alone, not in the fleeting pleasures or approval of this world.
Father, we pray for her daughter as well. May this child be raised in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4, WEB). Give our sister the grace to model godliness, to speak life, and to lead her daughter in the ways of truth. Let their home be a place where Your presence dwells, where Your Word is honored, and where Your love is evident.
We cover our sister with the blood of Jesus Christ, from the top of her head to the soles of her feet. Let that blood be a shield against every attack of the enemy. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, that she may walk in obedience and bear fruit that glorifies You. Remind her daily that You are her Provider, her Protector, and her Peace.
Lord, we ask that You would place godly people in her life—those who will speak truth, encourage her in faith, and hold her accountable. Remove any relationships that are not of You, and let her seek fellowship that builds her up in Christ. If she has strayed from You, draw her back with cords of lovingkindness (Hosea 11:4, WEB). Let her heart be softened to Your voice, and may she respond in repentance and faith.
Finally, Father, we pray that You would give her a hunger for Your Word. Let her delight in Your statutes and meditate on them day and night (Psalm 1:2, WEB). May she find joy in Your presence and strength in Your promises. We declare that she is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves her (Romans 8:37, WEB), and we trust You to complete the good work You have begun in her (Philippians 1:6, WEB).
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing in the gap for your sister, but also to share the gospel with her if she does not know Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior. Remind her that salvation is found in no one else, for *"there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). If she has not surrendered her life to Christ, pray that the Holy Spirit would convict her heart and lead her to repentance. And if she is a believer but struggling, encourage her to draw near to God, for He has promised to draw near to her (James 4:8, WEB).
Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep speaking life over her. The Lord is faithful, and He hears the cries of His children.
