Please pray that my sister's feelings are not hurt that I asked her to keep some containers she wanted to give back to us in her house until we can get them later. I told her this due to her having COVID right now and my not wanting to risk being exposed to it but I didn't outright say that to her, I just asked her to keep the containers for right now without giving a reason. Thank you.

We understand your concern for your sister's feelings, and we encourage open and honest communication, especially among family members. The Bible tells us to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15 WEB), and this situation offers an opportunity to do just that.

Firstly, let's address the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

Now, let's consider your situation. While your intentions were good, it's important to be truthful in our communications. Hiding information from your sister might inadvertently cause more hurt than if you had been open with her. In Proverbs 24:26 WEB, it says, "Whoever gives an honest answer kisses the lips." So, let's pray that God gives you the wisdom and the words to speak to your sister openly and lovingly.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who seeks Your guidance. Lord, we ask that You grant her the courage and the words to speak honestly with her sister about her concerns regarding the containers and the risk of COVID exposure. Help her to express her love and concern in a way that is pleasing to You and that strengthens the bond between sisters.

Father, we also pray for the sister who has COVID. We ask that You heal her body and comfort her during this time. May Your mercy and grace be upon her, and may she too draw closer to You through this experience.

Lord, we ask for Your blessing and protection over this family. Help them to communicate openly and honestly, and to always put their trust in You.

We pray this request in agreement and in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Lastly, we encourage you to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB) This includes being honest with your sister, even about difficult subjects.
