We join you in praying for your sister, and we appreciate your heartfelt concerns for her well-being. We stand in agreement with you.
Firstly, we notice that Jesus was not mentioned or called upon in this prayer. It is only in the name of Jesus that we are saved and allowed to make petitions known to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." They must be saved and believe in Jesus. Believing in Jesus, you can truly pray in Jesus' name. An example of believing in Jesus is found in Romans 10:9 WEB "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Now, let us pray together for your sister.
Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up the sister of the one who has submitted this request. We ask, Lord, that You watch over her and protect her from all harm and evil. Guide her steps and help her to make good choices in life. As it is written in Psalm 37:23 WEB "Yahweh directs his steps, he delights in his way." Cover her with the precious blood of Jesus from the top of her head to the sole of her feet. Touch her heart and let her know that she is deeply loved by You. Open her eyes to see the path You have set before her, and give her the guidance, wisdom, faith, and strength to walk in it.
We pray that You will lead her away from temptation and from those who might influence her towards evil. Instead, bring godly influences into her life that will encourage her to live for You. We also pray for her salvation. We pray she will believe in Jesus and the power of His resurrection.
Father, we know that Your desire is for her to live a healthy, happy, and peaceful life, aligned with Your will. We ask that You open her eyes to see the changes she needs to make and give her the courage to walk in obedience to Your Word.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying for your sister and to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with her. As it is written "For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Christ, for it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes; for the Jew first, and also for the Greek." Romans 1:16 WEB.
