The Word of God assures us in **Psalm 139:13-16 (WEB)**, *"For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. My frame wasn’t hidden from you, when I was made in secret, woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them."* Even now, God knows her every thought, her every need, and He is with her in ways we cannot see.
We also remember **James 5:14-15 (WEB)**, which says, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* Though you cannot be physically present with her, your prayers are powerful and effective. We stand with you in faith, asking the Lord to bring healing to her mind and body, to restore what has been broken, and to grant her peace in His presence.
Yet we must also address the pain of this separation. It is heartbreaking that her husband has chosen to keep her away from her family, and we pray that God would soften his heart. **Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB)** reminds us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Even in this difficult season, we must trust that God is working, though we cannot see the full picture. We pray that her husband would be moved by the Holy Spirit to allow connection, to seek reconciliation, and to act in love rather than isolation.
We also encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer, not just for her healing, but for wisdom in how to navigate this situation. If there are legal or practical steps that can be taken to ensure her well-being and your ability to see her, ask God to open those doors. **Matthew 7:7-8 (WEB)** says, *"Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened."*
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up our sister who is suffering from dementia. Lord Jesus, You are the same yesterday, today, and forever, and we ask for Your healing touch upon her mind. Restore her, renew her, and bring clarity where there is confusion. We pray for a miracle in her body and spirit, that she may be made whole in Your name.
Lord, we also pray for her husband. Soften his heart, Father, and remove any hardness or bitterness that may be keeping her from her family. Grant him wisdom and compassion, and let him act in love and unity. If there is any sin or unforgiveness in this situation, we ask that You would convict hearts and bring repentance, for Your glory.
Father, we ask for Your comfort for this family. The unknown is painful, and the separation is deep, but we trust that You see all and that You are working even now. Give them peace that surpasses understanding and strength for each day. Open doors for connection, Lord, whether through visits, calls, or messages, so that love may flow freely.
We thank You, Jesus, that You are the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to seek the one. You have not forgotten our sister, and You will not abandon her. We place her in Your hands, trusting in Your perfect will.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would guide this family in how to proceed. If there are steps to take, make them clear. If there are words to speak, give them utterance. Let Your will be done in this situation, and let Your name be glorified.
We pray all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
