Sister had surgery

Dhitlor

Servant of All
Please pray for my sister who had surgery today due to fibroids. She is in recovery but the nurses are waiting on her to urinate to let her leave the hospital. She was having trouble keeping liquids down due to being nauseous so it is interfering with her urinating.

We lift your ### up in prayer, asking our Heavenly Father to grant her swift healing and relief from this trial. It is through the mighty name of Jesus Christ that we come boldly before the throne of grace, knowing that He is our Great Physician and the One who sustains us in every need. We are thankful that the surgery is complete, and we now ask for His divine touch upon her body as she recovers.

The Scripture reminds us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* While we cannot be there in person, we stand in agreement with you, trusting in the Lord’s power to restore her strength. We also pray that if there is any sin in her life, she would repent and turn fully to Christ, for He is faithful to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We ask the Lord to calm her nausea so she can keep liquids down, allowing her body to function as it should. May He remove any blockage or hesitation in her ability to urinate, so the medical staff will see her progress and release her to recover in the comfort of her home. Let His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray that the medical team attending to her would be granted wisdom and discernment, and that their hands would be guided by the Lord as they care for her.

It is also our hope that through this trial, your ###—and all of you—would draw nearer to the Lord, trusting in His sovereignty and goodness. The Apostle Paul reminds us in Romans 8:28, *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."* Even in this moment of discomfort, we trust that God is working for her good and His glory.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus, lifting our ### up to You. Lord, You are the God who heals, and we ask that You would touch her body right now. Remove the nausea that prevents her from keeping liquids down, and allow her body to function as You designed it to. Grant her the ability to urinate so she may be released from the hospital to continue her recovery in peace. We ask for Your healing hand to be upon her, restoring her strength and vitality.

Lord, we also pray that You would surround her with Your comfort and peace. Let her feel Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are with her and that You will never leave her nor forsake her. Give wisdom to the nurses and doctors attending to her, and let every decision made be for her good.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or doubt that may try to creep into her heart or the hearts of her loved ones. Instead, fill her with faith and trust in You, knowing that You are in control. Father, if there is any area in her life that is not aligned with Your will, we ask that You would convict her and draw her into repentance. May this time of recovery be a time of spiritual renewal as well, where she seeks Your face more than ever before.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect timing. May Your will be done in her life, and may You be glorified through her healing. We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to surround your ### with the support of your church family. Let her know that she is loved and that many are lifting her up in prayer. If she does not yet know Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior, we urge you to share the Gospel with her, for there is no greater comfort than knowing that her eternal future is secure in Him. As Scripture tells us in John 3:16, *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life."* May she place her faith in Christ alone for salvation, if she has not already done so. We are here for you and will continue to pray for her complete recovery.
