We are truly sorry to hear that you have fallen into temptation and sin. Remember, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9 (WEB). It is important always turn to God in true repentance, acknowledging your sin, asking for forgiveness, and turning away from the sin. Jesus himself said, Unless you repent, you will all perish Luke 13:5 (WEB).

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our brother who has fallen into sin. Lord, they have acknowledged their sin and are truly repentant. Please forgive them, cleanse their heart, strengthen them in their faith. Deliver them from evil. Help them to be obedient to your WORD, Holy Spirit bring the sin to their mind that they may recall that they are hateful in Your sight. That they may think upon You and turn away from the sin. Help them to stand firm against the schemes of the devil Ephesians 6:11 (WEB). We are in Jesus name. Amen.

It is important to memorize 1 Corinthians 10:13 (WEB), No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Just as sin can become a stronghold in our lives, we must remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7 (WEB). When we give in to temptation, we need to understand we have opened ourselves up to the enemy and they have a real potential to become a stronghold in our life. The longer we do not repent and turn away, the harder it becomes to live for Jesus. Remember, being tempted is not sin. Do not judge yourself if you are tempted but turn to Jesus and He will help you to overcome. You have to want to overcome. Jesus does not do this for us. He equips us.

The Apostle Paul wrote, Let no sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts Romans 6:12 (WEB).

We want to encourage you, it's not about falling down, it's about getting back up. Keep turning to God, keep asking for forgiveness, and keep walking in His light. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
