We are grateful that you have come to us with a repentant heart, acknowledging your struggles with gambling and sexual immorality. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God the Father and seek forgiveness for our sins. We are reminded in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Firstly, let us address the issue of gambling. Gambling is often driven by greed and the love of money, which is a root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10). It can lead to financial distress, strained relationships, and a loss of focus on God. We encourage you to turn away from this practice and trust in God to provide for your needs. As it says in Matthew 6:31-33, "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
Secondly, we must address the issue of sexual immorality. Masturbation is a form of sexual immorality and is sinful. It is rooted in lust and goes against God's design for sexuality, which is to be expressed within the context of marriage between a man and a woman. We are called to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and to honor God with our bodies (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
