Based on the apostle Paul teachings. On being single.
1 Corinthian 7: 1-5 ; 25-35
...What Is singleness an obstacle to....
•Companion ship loneliness
• intimate relationship
•a family
• feeling of completeness
•feeling of belonging
• the relationship if a woman with her father will determine the relationship with her husband. Because if you can't relate to your father how can you relate to some stranger you jut fell in love with.
•feeling of worthiness
• feeling of competence.
• feeling if acceptance.
These negative feelings don't come from god they are because of the society we live in and their expectations.
• Colossians 3
The results of such attitudes :
• No one is attracted to a self destructive person.
• if you marry someone who doesn't love themselves they won't be loving you.
• what kind of message do you give off to people?
• if you build a negative attitude towards yourself, when the other partner reaches out to communicate with you, their not going to like you since that's the energy you radiate.
• don't be selfish.
• get inside his brain before you get married because everything on the outside changes.
• check it out with your family first and see what they think of the person you have brought home, because they are able to look and make a judgement of the type of person they are.
• what is your focus on?
• if you don't know the will of god in your life don't get married.
• seek the mind if god before you marry. If god wants you to be married he chooses the person. If he chooses you to be single he knows what Is best for you.
Viewing singleness as an opportunity in life :
•Why do you want to get married?
• is not that his not the person you married but his not the person you thought he was.
• find where his desires and his thoughts are.
• what do you love about your partner.
• a woman doesn't need to be beautiful for you to love them.
•remember their physical appearance is not always gonna be that way.
• ask lord what is your will for my life?
• you don't have a single need that god can't satisfy.
• you can't co tril someone else's feelings.
• god I don't understand everything in my life but I'm going to trust you.
