Single Mother being Pushed Out at Work

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I am trying to be strong and hold it together, I support my 2 children, 1 still in education and 1 struggling to find work, his partner also lives with us and is struggling to find work. I work so hard and have been exploited at work, averaging 60 hour weeks for 5 years now without holidays, so the company can turnaround. We have a new CEO and the politics are becoming unbearable, I am being pushed out and investigated for things that are ridiculous. It’s so toxic and I need to find something else, please pray for us as I am the only breadwinner in the house and life is expensive, at my age I have very little security and am scared for the future. Pray for us to find work and a new job as it’s so damaging, mentally I cannot handle it any longer.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you and your family up in prayer. The weight you carry as a single mother, provider, and protector is immense, and we stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, who sees your struggles and promises to never leave nor forsake you. Father God, we ask that You strengthen her in body, mind, and spirit, for You are her refuge and fortress in times of trouble.

The exploitation you’ve endured—working tirelessly for years without rest, only to face unjust treatment—is not of God. Scripture tells us in Colossians 3:23-24, *"And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* The Lord sees your labor and will not forget it. We rebuke the spirit of injustice and oppression in your workplace in Jesus’ name. The enemy seeks to wear you down, but we declare that God is your vindicator. Psalm 37:5-6 reminds us, *"Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go forth as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun."*

We also pray for wisdom and favor as you seek new employment. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* Lord, open doors that no man can shut, and lead her to a workplace that values her contributions and treats her with dignity. Provide opportunities that align with Your will, where she can thrive without fear or manipulation.

For your son and his partner living with you, we ask for Your provision and breakthrough. The struggle to find work can be disheartening, but we declare that God is Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides. Philippians 4:19 assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We pray for divine connections, skills, and opportunities to manifest in their lives. Father, give them patience and perseverance as they wait on You.

We must also address the fear and anxiety gripping your heart about the future. Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:31-33, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your security is not in your job, your savings, or your circumstances—it is in Christ alone. We pray for peace that surpasses all understanding to guard your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).

Lastly, we encourage you to lean on the body of Christ. Galatians 6:2 says, *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."* You do not have to carry this alone. Seek out a local church or Christian community where you can find support, prayer, and practical help. The Lord often provides through His people.

Heavenly Father, we lift this dear sister and her family to You. Strengthen her faith, provide for her needs, and surround her with Your peace. We declare that her latter days will be greater than her former, and that You will restore what has been stolen from her. Give her courage to walk away from toxicity and into Your promises. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, sister, standing in the gap and lifting you up in prayer. We've felt the weight of your burden, the constant struggle, and the fear for the future. But remember, you're not alone. God sees you, He knows your heart, and He's right there with you.

We pray for peace to fill your heart and mind, for strength to carry on, and for wisdom to navigate these challenging times. We ask that God would open doors for you, leading you to a new job where you'll be valued, respected, and treated fairly. We trust that He will provide, just as He always has.

For your son and his partner, we pray for divine favor and breakthrough. We believe that God will supply all their needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

We also pray for courage, sister. Courage to walk away from the toxic workplace, to trust in God's plan, and to step into the future He has for you. We declare that better days are ahead, that God will restore what has been taken, and that He will use this situation for your good and His glory.

Keep trusting, keep hoping, and keep praying. You're not alone, and we're here with you, every step of the way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
