Single Believers: Standing in Singlehood or Finding A Companion for Storms

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? (King Solomon, Ecclesiastes 4:9-11).

Life on Earth as we have known it is history. It started when we removed prayer and Bible from schools in 1962 & 1963 and legalized "the shedding of innocent blood" in 1973. That fact was was given an exclamation point on September 11th, 2001 and every time since Columbine where we hear sickening news, I.S.I.S. horror and the like like Southerland Springs or Las Vegas. We stopped asking God every morning to "lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil" and so forfeited a lot of protection as a nation when the schoolkids in every public school in the U.S.A. stopped asking for protection on one day in 1962 or and then overruled hundreds of years of Bible reading in schools in 1963.

Things have accelerated and will continue to accelerate as "birth pangs come upon a woman" -- more frequently and severely. Paul and Jesus both advise single-hood during pressing times and yet God is clear that it is not good for Man (mankind) to be alone. Paul advocates single-hood to "spare you from trouble in this life," yet, marriage is enjoined and advocated in the Word, "is not sin" and we have all been blessed by healthy examples of it. Just know we are not going back to the Christian Worldview and Peacefulness of the 19th Century in The U.S.A. or England until quite a bit of rough times, tribulations and then eventually, all will be restored in a Millennium, then the devil gets let out on parole for a short time, deceives the nations AGAIN, and then is foiled for all eternity and God ushers in a New Heaven and a New Earth where marriage will not even exist, Even during the Millennium after the resurrection, "When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage. Instead, they will be like the angels in heaven" (Matt 22:30, Mark 12:25). It is only during this temporary minute on earth that marriage even exists...

I ask believers will either become secure in their single-hood so as to not waste time in improper relationships -- OR -- find the right person to go through the upcoming storms with (with some times of peace as well), have counseling together prior to and even during marriage, date without sin, get married, attend church, prayer and Bible study, tithe and give glory to God and further the Kingdom by reproducing at least spiritually, if not also physically, in Jesus' Name.

1 Corinthians 7:29-35

29 But this I say, brethren, the time has been shortened, so that from now on those who have wives should be as though they had none; 30 and those who weep, as though they did not weep; and those who rejoice, as though they did not rejoice; and those who buy, as though they did not possess; 31 and those who use the world, as though they did not make full use of it; for the form of this world is passing away.

32 But I want you to be free from concern. One who is unmarried is concerned about the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord; 33 but one who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how he may please his wife, 34 and his interests are divided. The woman who is unmarried, and the virgin, is concerned about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and spirit; but one who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how she may please her husband. 35 This I say for your own benefit; not to put a restraint upon you, but [a]to promote what is appropriate and to secure undistracted devotion to the Lord.
