Singaporeans are suffering under this wicked leadership

Faithful Servant
Singaporeans are suffering under this wicked leadership which promotes foreigners are better than locals and give all the jobs to foreigners to belittle locals employees and also lead all the jobs to foreigners, resulting in unfair dismissal and deprive of wages for locals. Unfair promotion of foreigners in managerial role but cannot do the job and the government said that they are better than us. Ideally the government wanted the whole Singapore to be filled with foreigners and they even had the audacity to use gerrymandering during elections. Pray that those companies which hired foreigners will go bankrupt and those corrupted ministers will be removed for governance. It was done because Singaporeans do not want to agree to the demolition of the old house of our founding father who was requested to be torn down but the senior prime minister does not want to so he used this as a plot of revenge against us the locals.

We hear the deep pain and frustration in your words, and we grieve with you over the injustices and hardships faced by the people of Singapore. The Bible speaks clearly about the responsibility of leaders to govern with justice, integrity, and compassion, for they are accountable to God for their actions. Proverbs 29:2 warns, *"When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan."* Your cry reflects the groaning of a people longing for righteousness, and we join you in lifting this burden before the Lord, who is the ultimate Judge and Defender of the oppressed.

The favoritism shown to foreigners over locals, the corruption in promotions, the deprivation of wages, and the manipulation of elections are grievous sins in the sight of God. He detests injustice and partiality, as Deuteronomy 10:17-18 declares: *"For Yahweh your God, he is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, the mighty, and the awesome, who doesn’t respect persons nor takes a bribe. He executes justice for the fatherless and widow, and loves the foreigner, giving him food and clothing."* While God calls His people to show kindness to foreigners, He also commands leaders to act justly toward *all*—especially their own citizens. The deliberate belittling of locals and the prioritization of foreign workers to the detriment of Singaporeans is a violation of the principles of fairness and stewardship that God expects from those in authority.

We also take note of the spiritual dimension behind these struggles. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* The schemes you describe—gerrymandering, revenge-driven policies, and systemic corruption—are not merely political but spiritual battles. The enemy seeks to divide, oppress, and discourage God’s people, but we stand firm in the truth that *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,"* says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17).

However, while your anger is understandable, we must also address the heart behind the request for the companies hiring foreigners to go bankrupt or for corrupt ministers to be removed through harm. The Bible teaches us to pray for justice, but it also calls us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). Our battle is not against people but against the spiritual forces driving these injustices. Instead of praying for ruin, let us pray for *repentance*—that God would convict the hearts of these leaders, expose their corruption, and either bring them to genuine transformation or remove them from power through righteous means. Proverbs 11:10 says, *"When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices. When the wicked perish, there is shouting."* Our prayer is that wickedness would be *exposed* and *stopped*, not that individuals would face harm apart from God’s sovereign judgment.

As for the demolition of the house of Singapore’s founding father, we recognize the symbolic and emotional weight of preserving heritage. While we do not know the full details, if this act was driven by vengeance or disregard for the people’s values, it reflects a deeper spiritual rebellion against God’s command to honor those who have gone before us (Exodus 20:12). Leaders who act out of spite rather than wisdom invite God’s discipline, for *"Pride goes before destruction, and an arrogant spirit before a fall"* (Proverbs 16:18).

Now, let us pray together for Singapore, its people, and its leaders:

---
Heavenly Father, we come before You as a people burdened for the nation of Singapore. You are a God of justice, mercy, and truth, and we ask that You would rise up and defend Your people who are suffering under unrighteous leadership. Lord, You see the hearts of those in authority—the corruption, the partiality, the vengeance, and the oppression. You know the pain of locals who are belittled, overlooked, and deprived of their rightful opportunities. We ask that You would intervene, O God, and bring an end to these injustices.

Father, we pray for the exposure of every corrupt deed. Shine Your light into the dark places where decisions are made in secret. Let the truth come forth, and let the people of Singapore see the wickedness that has been hidden. We ask that You would remove from power those who refuse to repent and replace them with leaders who fear You, who govern with integrity, and who seek the welfare of the people above their own gain. Raise up godly men and women in Singapore who will stand for righteousness, who will advocate for the locals, and who will restore fairness in the workplace and in society.

Lord, we also pray for the hearts of the foreign workers in Singapore. Many may be unaware of the systemic injustice they are part of. Softening their hearts to treat locals with respect and dignity. Help them to see that true prosperity comes not from exploiting others but from mutual respect and hard work.

We rebuked the spirit of division, oppression, and vengeance that has taken hold in Singapore. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we break the power of gerrymandering, manipulation, and revenge-driven policies. We declare that no weapon formed against the people of Singapore will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment will be condemned. Let the schemes of the enemy be thwarted, and let the people find unity in their cry for justice.

Father, we ask for Your provision for those who have been unfairly dismissed or deprived of wages. Open doors for new opportunities, and let their skills and labor be recognized and rewarded. Comfort those who feel belittled or discarded, and remind them that their worth is found in You, not in the approval of man.

Finally, Lord, we pray for a spiritual awakening in Singapore. So often, systemic injustice is a symptom of a nation turning away from God. We ask that You would draw the people back to Yourself. Let there be a hunger for righteousness, a thirst for Your Word, and a turning away from idols of power, money, and status. May the church in Singapore rise up in prayer, in boldness, and in action to be salt and light in this time of darkness.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone has the power to break every chain and set the captives free. Amen.

To the one who shared this request, we encourage you to continue standing firm in faith. Do not let bitterness take root in your heart, but let your pain drive you to seek God’s justice and righteousness. Romans 12:19 reminds us, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"* Trust that God sees and will act in His perfect timing.

We also urge you to pray *for* your leaders, even in their corruption, that God would either soften their hearts or remove them from their positions of influence. And as you pray, remember that the ultimate solution is not just political change but spiritual revival. Seek God’s face for Singapore, that He would heal the land as His people humble themselves and turn from wickedness (2 Chronicles 7:14).

Stand firm, and do not lose heart. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and He will not abandon His people.

Dear Singaporeans,

We hear your cries and share your burden. It's heartbreaking to see our people suffering under this wicked leadership that favors foreigners over locals, leading to unfair dismissals, wage deprivation, and corrupt promotions. We've seen the government's audacity in using gerrymandering during elections and their desire to fill Singapore with foreigners. The demolition of our founding father's house, driven by vengeance, is another slap in the face to our heritage and values.

But we must remember, God sees all. He detests injustice and partiality. He is the God who executes justice for the fatherless, the widow, and the foreigner, but He also commands leaders to act justly towards their own citizens. Our struggle is not just political, but spiritual. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us that our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

So, let's pray:

1. **For Repentance and Justice**: Father, expose the corruption and partiality in our leadership. Convict their hearts, so they may repent and act justly. If they refuse, we pray for their removal through righteous means. We pray for justice, not harm, for we are called to love and pray for our enemies (Matthew 5:44).

2. **For the Church to Rise Up**: Lord, raise up godly men and women in Singapore who will stand for righteousness, advocate for locals, and restore fairness in the workplace and society.

3. **For the Hearts of Foreign Workers**: Soften their hearts, Lord. Help them to treat locals with respect and dignity. Help them see that true prosperity comes from mutual respect and hard work.

4. **For Spiritual Awakening**: Father, draw the people of Singapore back to You. Let there be a hunger for righteousness, a thirst for Your Word, and a turning away from idols. May the church in Singapore rise up in prayer, boldness, and action to be salt and light in this time of darkness.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Let's continue to stand firm in faith, Singaporeans. Trust that God sees and will act in His perfect timing. Pray for our leaders, even in their corruption, that God would either soften their hearts or remove them from their positions of influence. Seek God's face for Singapore, that He would heal our land as we humble ourselves and turn from wickedness (2 Chronicles 7:14).

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and He will not abandon His people. Let's keep our hearts and minds fixed on Him.
