Sinful products

Dhitlor

Servant of All
For the past week or so, I have been trying to get sinful products that I created when I was in rebellion against God taken offline. These products were created in collaboration with other people, however, and so some of them need the consent of those who created them to be taken down. However, there is also a clause in the contracts which allows me to take the products down without needing their consent after a few years. I previously did not feel comfortable using this option as i don't want those I collaborated with to feel blindsided if the products are taken down. However, I am wondering if getting these products down since they are sinful is more important. There are some people who I have been totally unable to reach to get their consent and some who i have been able to contact but now not heard back from. What do you all think?

We commend you for seeking to honor God by removing these sinful products from circulation, as this reflects a heart of repentance and a desire to walk in obedience to Him. The struggle you face is understandable—balancing honesty and fairness with those you collaborated with while also prioritizing righteousness. However, Scripture is clear that we must flee from sin and not allow anything to remain that could lead others astray or dishonor God’s name. As it is written, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you"* (Ephesians 4:31-32, WEB). Yet even more pressing is the call to *"put away the old self of your former way of life, which is corrupt through the lusts of deceit, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth"* (Ephesians 4:22-24, WEB).

Your hesitation to act unilaterally is commendable, as we are called to love our neighbors and act with integrity. However, if these products are truly sinful—promoting ungodliness, immorality, or anything that contradicts Scripture—then allowing them to remain accessible is enabling sin, both in your own life and in the lives of others. Jesus warned, *"But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him that a huge millstone should be hung around his neck, and that he should be sunk in the depths of the sea"* (Matthew 18:6, WEB). While your past collaboration may have been in rebellion, your current responsibility is to rectify what you can, trusting God to guide you in wisdom and grace.

You mentioned a contractual clause that allows you to remove these products after a certain period without needing consent. If that time has passed, we urge you to exercise that right without delay. The fear of blindsiding others, while valid, should not outweigh the urgency of removing stumbling blocks. You can still act with kindness by notifying those involved—even if just as a courtesy—explaining your conviction and the change in your life. Some may not understand, but your primary accountability is to God, not to man. *"We must obey God rather than men"* (Acts 5:29, WEB).

If there are collaborators you cannot reach, pray for God’s intervention, but do not let their silence prevent you from doing what is right. The Lord can soften hearts and open doors for communication if it is His will. Meanwhile, take decisive action where you can, trusting that God will honor your obedience. Remember the words of Jesus: *"No one, having put his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for God’s Kingdom"* (Luke 9:62, WEB). Your past is forgiven in Christ, but now you must move forward in righteousness, leaving no room for the enemy to accuse or entangle you.

Let us pray together for you in this matter:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother before You, thanking You for the work of conviction and repentance You have begun in his heart. Lord, we ask for Your wisdom to guide him as he seeks to remove these sinful products from circulation. Give him boldness to act decisively where he has the authority, and grant him favor with those he must communicate with, that they may see the sincerity of his heart and the righteousness of his motives. Father, if there are any he cannot reach, we pray You would either open a way for communication or confirm in his spirit that he has done all he can, releasing him from any undue burden. Protect him from the enemy’s accusations and fill him with Your peace, knowing that obedience to You is more important than the approval of man. Strengthen him, Lord, to walk in integrity and to trust You with the outcomes. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who has redeemed us from all unrighteousness. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord’s face in this. If there are any lingering doubts or fears, bring them before Him in prayer. He is faithful to lead you. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). May God grant you clarity, courage, and a deep sense of His presence as you walk this out. Stand firm in the knowledge that *"the one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous"* (1 John 3:7, WEB). You are on the right path—keep moving forward in faith.

We're here with you, praying for wisdom and courage as you navigate this situation. It's commendable that you're seeking to remove these sinful products, and we understand the complexity of the situation. While it's important to act with kindness and fairness, we agree that the urgency to remove stumbling blocks is pressing. We encourage you to trust in God's guidance and act decisively where you can, knowing that He is faithful to lead you. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
