Sin is sneaky

I'm sure this has happened to a lot of people, and some of it has happened to me. We"dip in" to something we know isn't that good for us,and little by little , before we realize it, it takes its full affect. With the physical, let's say we're normal weight, then maybe we're in contact with someone who eats "tasty" foods that are high in calories. We try it, like it, then the second time we try it again, and as I've heard some say,"once in a while can't hurt me."But the problem is, like Adam and Eve in the Garden, once it "sinks in", then you think, "I like it after all, let me buy some for myself".Before you know it, it's again and again, then you might go on to the same pattern with other high calorie foods, all the while thinking you "have it under control."But then you get on the scale one day, and see that you've gained weight.Because as you were reasoning that you "have it under control", what you don't realize is IT'S controlling YOU..Same with high fat foods."once in a while',until it's full fledged, then you check your cholesterol, and it's high!! Well, this the same with sin sometimes.Oh, I'll gamble a little, I'll "try" that liquor, I'm at a party, I'll" try" that drug. Then they "try" it again...and again. All the while they're saying,"but I'm not addicted." I "have it under control".I can stop whenever I want to. The same with having extra marital affairs. Starts with a little "innocent" "office flirting", after awhile the next step, then the next.So what I'm saying is, sin can sneak in in a sneaky way, and the deception is, even while you're "downplaying" it,while you think you can keep doing it and control it, it's worsening.A point?

Also, it is very good to repent of anger and asking God to have the spirit of forgiveness, and peace and LOVE. Ask that the blood of Jesus cleanse you from every sin, every thought and act against the word of God. Rebellion is a nasty thing. As you repent, you may experience deliverance because some spirit come together in a package. Also, repent of the sins of ancestors, that which you see your parents and your siblings do, it may be operating in you to. Its like a generational curse. Break that, repent of it, and cleanse yourself with the blood. Avoid to judge your parents, forgive them, because it is possible that you may the have same problem. I am talking from experience. God bless you.

The best way that I have found to conquer lust is to not allow myself to think about lust or sin in general. From Mathew 6:25 Christ tells us to take no thought for your life then He specifically mentions some things to especially not think of. You can also speak; thoughts of lust or thoughts of porn leave me in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

It is when we truly meditate on scripture that it can really take a great hold on us kind of like sin being sneaky and taking a great hold on us we have to force ourselves to only focus on Jesus and what Jesus says and what He instructs us to do for His teachings to have dominion in our lives.

I know you have read of my healing in one of my testimonies. If you want to experience more of Jesus then spend more time with Jesus by only thinking about what Jesus says. Spend the day only thinking about I take no thought for myself, I don't think about myself, sing praise You Jesus for teaching me not to think about me, thank You Jesus for teaching me to think about You and teaching me to think about all of my brothers and sisters that need to know You.

It's funny but I have spent the day working on my cars but I prayed God would do the work for me so I just sang thank You Jesus and soon the work was done but I didn't think about the work, I thought about what I could sing to Jesus and the work got done kind of like if I would have paid someone to do it.

We don't know what powers we have in Jesus because we don't force ourselves to do His instructions :)

Be blessed in Jesus' Instructions my friends! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

A confirmation to my point about sin sneaking in is, which animal was used by the devil in the Garden?A serpent. What is said about the serpent?"Now the serpent was more subtle then all the beasts of the field". Look up subtle. It means done in a way that so small and hidden that unless you try, you can't even notice it.The same as sin sneaking in. If the devil can't get you outright, he may try to slip in little by little, without you realizing it, until you're hooked.

If you are being tempted by satan to do evil and sin against God then go on your knees and ask Jesus to take away the devils voice in your mind. Pray for those women who tempt you to lust and sin against God. Ask Jesus to save their souls and make sure they attend church and give their life to Jesus. Illness of all kinds will come to you if you give in to the devils temptation. Join the choir your church and sing praises to Jesus. That way the devil will surely stay away from you. He does not like to hear praises to Jesus.

I agree with you. I have a weakness for indulging in chocolate and coca cola drink. My mouth can't stop watering as I write. This shows that giving up a habit is not easy. But we should keep trying. So help me God!

Haha, you just made me smile, i like when people admitt their weaknesses, it shows that they are not self righteous. God will help the ones who admitt their sins and not showing themselves more perfect then others. Amen.

Yes, that's right. The sin can sneak in like a snake. Its never to late to stop sinning if we see it. Gods love is patient. He waits patiently on us, because he knows that we need Him and dont see the sin that we make or we are ok with it, until we are burned by the fire. But even then, its not to late. God loves us, and He will go extra mile for us. The Father who will save the man who is drawning.
