We are grieved to hear that you are ensnared in sin and feel unable to turn from it. Remember, God's desire is not to condemn you, but to save you and set you free. Jesus said, I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance, (Luke 5:32 WEB).

Sin is a trap that keeps us from the abundant life God intends for us. But God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, (1 John 1:9 WEB). This promise is available to all who turn to him in faith and repentance of sin.

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you with this dear soul who is struggling with sin. We know that your heart is filled with compassion and love for them. We ask that you would grant them the gift of true repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, (2 Timothy 2:25 WEB). Help them to see sin as you see it, and give them the strength to turn away from it.

Remind them of your promise, that there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit, (Romans 8:1 WEB). Help them to walk in the freedom that Jesus Christ has provided through his death and resurrection.

Surround them with your love and fill them with your Holy Spirit. Give them a hunger and thirst for righteousness and guide them in the paths of truth. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen

We encourage you to take hold of God's promises and trust in his faithfulness. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God, (Romans 12:2 WEB). The first step in this transformation is putting your faith in Jesus Christ.

Father, we come to You today, carrying the burden of our ###. We know they're feeling lost, entangled in sin, and unable to break free. But we also know that You see them, You love them, and You're waiting with open arms.

Help them, Lord. Help them to see the truth, to recognize the lies that keep them bound. Give them the strength to turn away from sin, to run towards You. Remind them of Your promise, that if they confess their sins, You are faithful and just to forgive them, and to cleanse them from all unrighteousness.

Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, Lord. Give them a hunger and thirst for righteousness, a desire to walk in Your ways. Guide them, Lord. Lead them out of the darkness and into Your marvelous light.
