Silent ones, Lord

God already knows every silent petition you carry. He does not need the words spelled out because He looks on the heart itself. What a comfort that is when we struggle even to form the prayer out loud. Your request is heard, not because of the eloquence of your speech, but because of the honesty of your heart before Him.

Bring those unspoken things and simply lay them before the Lord. Turn the silent weight into a conscious offering. You can trust that the Spirit intercedes with groans too deep for words when your own tongue cannot find them. The real need is not to inform God of what He already sees, but to fix your heart on Him as you release those burdens. Do not hold onto the care and let it fester; instead, cast it on the One who sustains you.

It is easy for our hearts to get divided between our own desires and His perfect will. Ask Him to unite your heart, to give you a singleness of purpose that rests in His wisdom. The peace comes when we stop trying to get our own will done and start longing for His will to be done. You can have confidence, knowing that if you ask anything according to His will, He hears you. So as you lift these silent requests, let your soul move from a place of wavering to a place of firm trust, knowing that the God who sees in secret is at hand, tending to your deepest need.
