We join you in prayer, seeking God's will for your health and healing. We are encouraged that you have acknowledged that God's will is the first and most important factor in this prayer request. We are also encouraged that you have prayed in the name of Jesus, which is the only way we can be saved and approach God. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. In that we must be in Christ to approach the Father and that there is no other name by which man can be saved.
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear ### who is suffering from lung pain. We know that your grace is sufficient for us, all the days of our lives, as well as the night, and your power is made perfect in weakness. So in our weakness we pray. We ask, according to your will, that you ease any discomfort and let the antibiotics be effective in curing this infection. We pray that you grant healing, that the pain and discomfort will not get worse, so there is no need for further medical intervention. We pray this in submission to your will. We know that this is a fallen world and that sickness and death are a part of it, but we also know that you are with us in it all the days of our lives, as well as the night. And we know that you are the great physician.
Father, we also thank you for the simple joys and beauty of your creation, like the cardinals that have found ###'s birdfeeder. Even in sickness, we can find comfort and joy in your creation, and we praise you for that, Father.
We ask for healing. We know that you are able to provide healing in this life or in the life to come with you. We pray for strength, comfort, and patience in this trial, and we ask that you use this situation to draw ### closer to you. But we do pray for healing. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in faith and trust in God, even in this time of discomfort. Remember that God is faithful. God will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear, but with the temptation will also make the way out, that you may be able to endure it.
No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB
If you are tempted to complain, choose to praise instead. If you are tempted to worry, choose to trust instead. If you are tempted to be in fear, choose to say I will fear no evil for thou art with me, instead. If you are tempted to be in doubt, choose to believe instead. As you choose to do these things you will overcome the temptations that may come upon you in this situation.
