We are truly sorry to hear about the sickness in your household, and we are here to lift you up in prayer and offer some biblical encouragement. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is our healer and that His will is for us to be in good health. As it is written in 3 John 1:2, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."
However, we also know that sickness is a part of living in a fallen world and that God can use even this for His good purposes according to Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Let us pray for you:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this household that is affected by sickness. Lord, You are our healer and our refuge, and we ask for Your healing touch upon this person and their household. If it is Your will, Lord, please restore their health and strengthen their body so that they may return to their daily tasks with renewed vigor. Protect their children from this virus and let no harm come near them in Jesus Christ's name.
We also pray for a hedge of protection around their home, that no more sickness will enter, based on your Words in Psalms 91:10, 'No evil will befall you, Neither will any plague come near your tent.'
Lord, we also ask for Your guidance and wisdom. If it is not Your will to heal them immediately, give them the strength and endurance to bear this trial and use it for Your glory. Help them to consider not only their own interests, but also the interests of others, as we are instructed in Philippians 2:3-4, in Jesus' name.
Lastly, Lord, we pray for their spiritual health as well. Draw them closer to You during this time, and remind them of Your unfailing love and faithfulness. If this person has not already done so, we pray that they would come to you in the name of your son Jesus Christ and be saved. If they have, we pray that they would be reminded of your love, grace, and mercy. Let this experience serve as a reminder that you are the great physician. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
In the meantime, remember that God is with you and that He cares for you. "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved." Psalm 55:22.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to seek God's will in all things, including your health. While we pray for your healing, remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts based on Isaiah 55:8-9. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths, as we are instructed in Proverbs 3:5-6, in Jesus Christ.
