Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
Thank you very muchWe are truly heartbroken to hear about the struggle with addiction that your siblings are facing. Addiction is a form of bondage that can severely impact not only the individuals but also the entire family. We stand with you in prayer, trusting in the power of Jesus Christ to break these chains and set them free.
Firstly, let us address the urgency of this matter. In Romans 8:38 WEB, it is written:
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
No addiction is more powerful than the love of God and the redemption we have in Jesus Christ.
Now, let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up the siblings of this dear sister and her husband. Father, we know that addiction is a form of bondage, and You have come to set the captives free. We pray specifically for each one of them, that You would break the chains of drug and alcohol addiction in their lives.
Lord, we know that it is only through the power of Jesus Christ that true freedom can be found. We pray that each one of them would have a personal encounter with Jesus, knowing that He is the only way to salvation and freedom. In John 8:36 WEB, You promise, If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.
We pray for their hearts to be turned towards You, Father. We ask that You would give them the strength to overcome their addictions and the courage to seek help. Surround them with godly support and guidance, and lead them to resources that can assist them in their journey to recovery.
We also pray for this dear sister and her husband, that You would give them the strength and wisdom to support their siblings in this time of need. Help them to be a light in the darkness, pointing their siblings to the hope that is found in Jesus.
We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who alone has the power to save and set free. Amen.
