I've heard a few people teach that since God loves all His creation equally, that He loves Satan. I was in a SDA meeting and they talked about a teaching based on a vision Ellen G White said she had. They talked of how God approached Lucifer before the war in heaven repeatedly so that he would repent. Apparently even now, today he can repent so he can be saved. A minister in an Apostolic meeting last night also taught about the love of God for Satan and how he can repent through the sacrifice of Jesus.
So then, shouldn't we be praying for Satan to repent and be saved?
This same minister also mentioned a popular teaching that the giants mentioned in Genesis before the flood were spawns of the fallen angels mating with human women. Well, obviously I don't think these things are scriptural, there is much too much you have to assume that is not written to come to these conclusions. Stick to the bible!
What does the bible say? Lets start with the latter:
Ok for one, there is the law of God, what He spoke in the beginning is law that governs creation and can not be broken. He placed some boundaries on all of creation. This boundary is evidence that evolution is impossible. No slime can become a fish, grow legs and walk out of the water evolve into an ape then fully formed human being begin to walk around inventing computers. It is the fulfillment of Romans men thinking themselves wise becoming utter fools! The law in Genesis 1 states that everything will produce after it's own kind. That is law. Hebrews shows us emphatically that angels and humans are not the same. There can be no cross pollination here just as a dog can not reproduce with a cat.
Second, angels were never given programmed by Gods' Word to reproduce. He said that over the plants, animals and humans - not angels! This is important to the main argument against the salvation of Satan. So this is why Jesus states that men, once casting off this mortal body and the laws that govern creation now, will have a new function and ...
Luk 20:34 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:
Luk 20:35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:
Luk 20:36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.
So, the world in which the angels live is not governed by the laws of this world. This should be an obvious truth. They can become flames of fire, they can travel faster than light. They can not mate with mankind.
Ok, now the entire church world would do good to keep fasting and praying for the deliverance and salvation of Satan if he could be saved. I tell you he can not. Why? Because he is an angel. Once again, the Word of God spoke over the "seed" of "man" in the beginning (Genesis).
Since all things must reproduce after it's kind then Jesus had to be man to save us. He became like us in human flesh so that His blood could cleanse us (men) from our sins. What the law written on stone tablets could not do because of the weakness of our flesh (make us new creations) God did by sending His Son in the guise of sinful flesh so He could be a mediator between God and man. He was God/man. He was not an angel, never was.
Come to think of it that might be a part of the problem since SDA and JW think Jesus and Michael are one and the same.
What happened to Lucifer? He can not be saved because he is already condemned. He was cast out heaven, thrust away from his high calling and state. Judgement has already been laid on him. He is cut off, unpardonable.
Hell was prepared for the devil and his angels. It has been made ready for them to accept them at the appointed time. This he has, an appointed time, his time is short and he knows it. Hebrews says it best here in the Amplified bible, chapter 2 ...
(11) For both He Who sanctifies [making men holy] and those who are sanctified all have one [Father]. For this reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren;
(12) For He says, I will declare Your [the Father's] name to My brethren; in the midst of the [worshiping] congregation I will sing hymns of praise to You.
(13) And again He says, My trust and assured reliance and confident hope shall be fixed in Him. And yet again, Here I am, I and the children whom God has given Me.
(14) Since, therefore, [these His] children share in flesh and blood [in the physical nature of human beings], He [Himself] in a similar manner partook of the same [nature], that by [going through] death He might bring to nought and make of no effect him who had the power of death--that is, the devil--
(15) And also that He might deliver and completely set free all those who through the [haunting] fear of death were held in bondage throughout the whole course of their lives.
(16) For, as we all know, He [Christ] did not take hold of angels [ the fallen angels, to give them a helping and delivering hand], but He did take hold of [ the fallen] descendants of Abraham [to reach out to them a helping and delivering hand].
(17) So it is evident that it was essential that He be made like His brethren in every respect, in order that He might become a merciful (sympathetic) and faithful High Priest in the things related to God, to make atonement and propitiation for the people's sins.
(18) For because He Himself [in His humanity] has suffered in being tempted (tested and tried), He is able [immediately] to run to the cry of (assist, relieve) those who are being tempted and tested and tried [and who therefore are being exposed to suffering].
