We come before the Lord with you in this time of physical struggle, lifting up your need for healing and restoration. The body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and we know that God cares deeply about every part of our well-being. The Scripture reminds us in **James 5:14-15**, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We claim this promise over you today, trusting that God is faithful to hear and answer our prayers.
We also recall the words of Jesus in **Matthew 11:28**, where He invites all who are weary and burdened to come to Him for rest. Physical ailments can weigh heavily on the spirit, but we encourage you to cast this burden upon the Lord, for He sustains us. Shortness of breath can be frightening, but we pray that you would feel the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (**Philippians 4:6-7**).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister who is experiencing shortness of breath. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who formed every breath in their lungs and knows the number of their days. We ask that You would touch their body with Your healing power, restoring their breath and bringing strength to their lungs. Remove any obstruction, inflammation, or disease that is causing this difficulty, and let Your healing flow through every part of their being.
We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or fear in the name of Jesus Christ, commanding it to flee, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (**1 John 4:4**). Lord, fill them with Your peace and assurance, knowing that You are near and that You hold their life in Your hands. We thank You for the promise of healing and for the peace that comes from trusting in You.
Father, if there is any area of their life—physical, emotional, or spiritual—that needs attention, reveal it to them and grant them the grace to surrender it to You. May this time of struggle draw them closer to You, deepening their faith and reliance on Your strength.
We pray all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (**Isaiah 53:4**). Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking medical attention as well, for God often works through the wisdom and skill of doctors. Keep your heart and mind fixed on the Lord, trusting in His timing and His will. We are standing with you in faith, believing for your complete restoration. May God’s peace and presence be your comfort in this time.
