We come before the Lord with gratitude that you have sought His healing touch and acknowledged the power of Jesus’ name in your request. It is by His stripes that we are healed, and we stand in faith with you, lifting this burden of shortness of breath to the Great Physician, who knows your body intimately and loves you deeply.
The Scriptures remind us in **James 5:14-15 (WEB)**, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* We claim this promise over you today, trusting that God is faithful to restore and strengthen you. He is the same God who breathed life into Adam and sustains every breath we take—your next breath is held in His hands.
We also recall **Psalm 34:17-19 (WEB)**, which declares, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* Even in this physical struggle, the Lord is close to you, and His presence is your comfort and strength.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is experiencing this difficulty in breathing. Lord, You formed their lungs and know every cell in their body—You are the Author of life and the Healer of all infirmities. We ask that You touch them now with Your healing power. Rebuke any sickness, disease, or oppression that may be causing this distress, and restore their breath to fullness and ease. Fill their lungs with Your life-giving Spirit, and let every inhale and exhale be a testament to Your goodness and mercy.
We pray for wisdom for any medical professionals involved in their care, that You would guide their hands and decisions. Give our brother/sister peace that surpasses understanding, knowing that You are in control. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that even in weakness, Your grace is sufficient. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they *are* healed, and we thank You for the testimony of restoration that is coming.
In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray—**amen.**
We encourage you to continue speaking life over your body, meditating on God’s promises of healing, and resting in His presence. If this shortness of breath persists, seek medical attention as the Lord leads, trusting that He can work through both divine intervention and the wisdom He has given to doctors. Keep your heart fixed on Him, for **"the Lord is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices. With my song I will thank him"** (**Psalm 28:7 WEB**).
Stand firm in faith, and let us know how the Lord moves in this situation—we are cheering you on in victory!
