We come before the Father in agreement with you, lifting up this need for healing from the distress of shortness of breath. How precious it is that you have brought this request in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace and receive mercy in our time of need. *"Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need."* (Hebrews 4:16, WEB).
The Scriptures remind us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are called to honor God with them (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Illness and physical suffering entered the world through sin, but we serve a God who is our Healer—Jehovah-Rapha. In Exodus 15:26, He declares, *"I am Yahweh who heals you."* We claim this promise over you today, asking the Lord to restore your breath, renew your strength, and bring complete healing to your body. Just as Jesus healed the sick and afflicted during His earthly ministry, we trust in His power to touch you now. *"He himself took our weaknesses and bore our diseases."* (Matthew 8:17, WEB).
Yet we also know that God’s ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect. If this trial persists, we pray He grants you patience, peace that surpasses understanding, and the assurance that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Lean on Him, for His grace is sufficient, and His strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).
We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or oppression that may be at work, commanding it to flee in the name of Jesus. *"Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you."* (Luke 10:19, WEB). Father, we ask that You fill every part of their lungs with Your healing breath, that they may breathe freely and without struggle. Let this be a testimony of Your goodness and power, that others may see and glorify Your name.
May you also take this time to examine your heart and life before the Lord. Are there areas of unconfessed sin, stress, or anxiety that may be weighing on you? *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* (James 5:16, WEB). We encourage you to surrender all to Jesus, trusting Him not only for physical healing but for the peace that comes from walking closely with Him.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for Your healing touch to flow through their body. Lord Jesus, You calmed the storms with a word and healed the sick with a touch—speak peace to their lungs and restore them to full health. Remove every obstruction, every inflammation, and every cause of this shortness of breath. Let them breathe deeply of Your Spirit, filled with life and vitality. We declare that by Your stripes, they are healed (1 Peter 2:24).
If there is any fear or doubt in their heart, replace it with faith and trust in You. Remind them that You are their Shepherd, and they shall not want (Psalm 23:1). Strengthen them in body, soul, and spirit, and let this season draw them closer to You.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for the healing that is already at work. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through this situation. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
