Sheryl is a good woman who has had problems with alcoholism. They made her wear a special ankle monitor that caused her to have to go into an ER because it was too tight. The doctor cut if off. She is now in contempt of court because she doesn't have it on. The courts seem to be unfair and she is a baby Christian trying to stand for Christ in a very heathen city.
