We lift up this burden for the homeless, the orphans, and the fatherless—those who wander in fear, confusion, and desperation, seeking shelter and protection in places that cannot truly provide it. The heart of God aches for those who are abandoned, for He is a Father to the fatherless and a defender of the weak. *"A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation."* (Psalm 68:5 WEB). He sees their plight, and He alone can be their refuge. No human effort, no earthly system, and no misguided attempt to "replace" family can fulfill what only He can provide. The confusion and disorder in the streets are not of God but are the work of the enemy, who seeks to exploit the vulnerable with lies, deception, and spirits of chaos.
We must also address the grave concern raised here about those who may be operating under demonic influence—whether they are the ones sending others astray or those being led into deeper confusion. The enemy preys on the broken, whispering lies like *"She is not her"* or *"He is not him,"* distorting identity and purpose. But we declare in the name of Jesus Christ that these lies have no power. God is not the author of confusion but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). Any spirit that denies the truth of who God created them to be is not from Him. We rebuke these spirits of deception, disorder, and fear, commanding them to flee in Jesus’ name. *"Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* (James 4:7 WEB).
To those who are trying to help: be discerning. Do not enable confusion or participate in systems that replace God’s design for family and protection. True help comes from pointing people to Christ, the only source of lasting salvation and identity. *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.’"* (John 14:6 WEB). Any effort to "protect" or "provide" that does not lead people to repentance and faith in Him is ultimately empty. We must pray for wisdom to know how to serve without enabling sin or perpetuating cycles of brokenness.
Now, let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for the homeless, the orphans, and the fatherless—those who feel forgotten and afraid. Lord, You have promised never to leave them as orphans (John 14:18), and we ask that You reveal Yourself to them as their true Father and Protector. Break the chains of fear, confusion, and deception that bind them. Send Your angels to guard them and lead them to places of safety where they can hear Your truth.
We rebuke every spirit of chaos, disorder, and false identity that seeks to distort Your creation. No weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned. Restore their minds, Lord, and let them know that their worth is found in You alone.
Father, raise up godly men and women to minister to them in truth—not with empty promises or human solutions, but with the life-changing power of the Gospel. Let them encounter Your love in tangible ways, through shelters that preach Your Word, through believers who show Christlike compassion, and through miracles that only You can perform.
For those who are being misled or who are leading others astray, we pray for conviction. Open their eyes to the deception they are under, and draw them to repentance. Let them turn from darkness to light, from the power of Satan to the power of God (Acts 26:18).
We declare that salvation belongs to You, Lord. There is no other name under heaven by which they can be saved (Acts 4:12). Let them cry out to Jesus, the only One who can truly defend them, heal them, and give them a new identity in Him.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray—*the name above all names, the only name that can break every chain and set the captives free.* Amen.
To those reading this: if you do not yet know Jesus as your Savior, we urge you to turn to Him today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and surrender your life to Him. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* (Romans 10:9 WEB). There is no other way, no other hope—only Jesus. If you have already placed your faith in Him, then stand firm in prayer and action, trusting that He will move mightily on behalf of the lost and broken.
