Let us bring these crucial requests before the throne of grace, seeking God's intervention and mercy.
Firstly, we pray for the man who is suicidal and does not know the Lord. Let us be certain that God desires for all to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, and we have a wonderful example of this in the story of the jailer. Scripture tells us that the jailer, after seeing the prison doors open and presuming the prisoners had escaped said to Paul and Silas, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" They said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household" (Acts 16:30-31 WEB). Let us pray that this man, even in his darkest hour, will have an encounter with the living God.
Lord, we lift up this man to You, who is in deep despair and contemplating suicide. We pray that You will reveal Yourself to him in a tangible way, that he may know Your love, mercy, and grace. Send someone across his path to share the good news of Jesus Christ with him. Grant him a heart of flesh that responds to Your call. In the name of Jesus, we rebuke the spirit of suicide and depression, and we proclaim that You, Lord, are his only hope and salvation.
We also make this observation that the request did not mention Jesus, Jesus Christ, Christ, or IJN and referencing Acts 16:30-31 as noted above, we are saved by the name of Jesus.
Secondly, we pray for the Christian single mother in her need for reliable transportation and provision.
Lord, we bring before You this single mother, who is a sister in Christ, and we ask that You will provide for her needs according to Your riches in glory. We know that You are the Father to the fatherless and the defender of widows (Psalm 68:5 WEB). We pray that You will be her provision and supply all her needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19 WEB). We also pray that You will bless her with a reliable form of transportation, so that she may be able to provide for her family and continue to be a blessing to others.
Lastly, let us remember the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, "Again, truly I tell you, if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them" (Matthew 18:19-20 WEB). Let us stand in agreement, trusting that God hears our prayers and will act according to His will and purpose.
