We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this severe and distressing situation to Him, knowing that He alone is our refuge, strength, and deliverer. The chaos described—aggression, vulgarity, destruction, disrespect, alcohol abuse, and the influence of criminal activity—is a direct assault on the peace and godliness that should reign in a home. These are not merely human struggles but spiritual battles, and we must address them with the authority of Christ and the wisdom of Scripture.
First, we recognize that these behaviors are not of God but are works of the flesh and the enemy’s schemes to bring ruin. The apostle Paul warns us in Galatians 5:19-21: *"Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom."* The presence of these sins in the home is a serious matter, and repentance is urgently needed. The alcohol abuse, in particular, is a snare that fuels aggression and poor judgment, and it must be confronted with truth and grace. Let this trial be the very thing that drives them to their knees, where they find salvation and freedom in You. Strengthen the believers in this home to stand firm in faith, to speak Your Word boldly, and to walk in obedience, even when it is hard.
Father, we ask for Your divine protection over this home. Station Your angels around it to guard against further harm.
