Severe acne.. please pray for my DD

My 17 years old daughter has severe acne on her face. She is very much concerned about it as everyone is making fun of her. She has stopped attending any parties or functions because of this and I'm worried about her new behavior. What if she is under any depression? I assured her that the acne will go after treating them properly and there is nothing to worry at all. I thought of trying natural ways to treat her acne but she said she need a quick result and asked me to take her to a dermatologist in our locality (Toronto). I researched about the acne treatment and saw acne laser treatment is most commonly used procedure to prevent acne and acne scar. But can a 17 years old undergo this procedure? Will there be any side effect for her? I seriously can't make a proper decision. What am I supposed to do? Please pray for my daughter!!

May God bless you at this stressful time.

I strongly suggest that you not make any sudden decisions; you need professional input and several opinions.  There probably is no quick result with 'severe acne.' Why not start with your general doctor? S/he should be able to give some good advice and give you the names of several dermatologists. Start there. Then visit the derms and ask your questions; see unretouched photos, etc. The last thing you need to do is rush into a treatment that might make things worse.
