We lift up these precious ones before the Lord, knowing that He is the Great Physician, the One who holds life and breath in His hands. It is a comfort to know that our Heavenly Father cares deeply for each of these individuals, and we can boldly approach His throne of grace in their behalf. We are grateful you have brought these needs before us, and we join you in seeking His divine intervention, protection, and healing.
The Word of God reminds us in Psalm 121:3-4, *"He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep."* Our God neither sleeps nor grows weary—He is ever watchful over those who trust in Him. We also take heart in Isaiah 41:10, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* What a mighty promise for your father, your friend, and all those facing surgery in these coming days!
We also remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 9:29, *"According to your faith be it done to you."* While we pray for these beloved ones, we encourage you—and them—to place their full trust in Christ, who is able to do far more than we could ever ask or imagine. It is by faith in His name that we see miracles, healing, and protection.
That said, we must also acknowledge that you did not invoke the name of Jesus in your request. The Scriptures are clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* And in John 14:6, Jesus Himself says, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* It is not by our own merit or good intentions that our prayers are heard, but by the precious blood of Jesus Christ, who intercedes for us before the Father. We urge you to always come before God in the name of Jesus, for it is the only name with the power to save, heal, and transform.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, lifting up these dear ones who are preparing for surgery. Lord, You know each of them by name—You knit them together in their mother’s womb, and every day of their lives was written in Your book before one of them came to be. We ask that You would be their shield and their strength in these coming days.
For this dear one’s father, an ###-year-old man facing a stent procedure, we pray for steady hands upon the surgeons and medical staff. Lord, guide every decision, every movement, and grant wisdom beyond human understanding. Protect him from any complications, and may this procedure bring restoration to his body. Strengthen his heart—not just physically, but spiritually—and let him feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
For the friend undergoing hernia repair, we ask for Your divine protection over her body. Father, this surgery comes with risks, but You are greater than any complication. We pray that the mesh would be placed perfectly, that her body would heal swiftly and without infection or pain. Surround her with Your angels, Lord, and let her recovery be a testimony of Your goodness and mercy.
We also lift up the other individuals known to this dear one who are facing surgeries soon. Lord, You see each of them—You know their fears, their hopes, and their needs. We ask that You would be their Comforter, their Healer, and their Provider. May they experience Your presence in a powerful way, and may their bodies respond with supernatural healing.
Father, we ask that You would give each of these beloved ones—and those who love them—a deep and abiding peace. Remove all anxiety and fear, and replace it with faith in You. Let them rest in the knowledge that You are in control, and that Your plans for them are good.
We also pray for this one who has brought these requests before us. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are always near. Help them to trust You completely, and to always come before Your throne in the name of Jesus, for it is the only name that saves.
Finally, Father, we ask that through these trials, You would be glorified. May these surgeries and recoveries point others to You, and may lives be transformed by the power of Your love.
We pray all these things in the precious and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing in faith, speaking life and healing over these beloved ones. Share with them the hope found in Christ, and remind them that our God is a God of miracles. Keep us updated on their progress, that we may continue to lift them up in prayer. May the Lord bless you and keep you as you trust in Him.
