We hear your heartfelt cry for forgiveness and repentance, and we join you in seeking the Lord’s mercy and grace. Your acknowledgment of sin and your desire to turn fully to Christ is a beautiful step toward restoration. The Scriptures remind us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Your repentance is not in vain, God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
You ask, "Lord, what do You want me to do?" This is a question every believer should ask daily. The answer is found in loving God with all your heart, soul, and mind, and loving your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:37-39). Serve Him with joy, walk in obedience to His Word, and let your life reflect His love. Jesus said, "If you love me, keep my commandments" (John 14:15). This means turning away from sin, renewing your mind in Scripture, and living in a way that honors Him.
We must also address the importance of not just knowing God’s promises but actively walking in them. James 1:22 warns, "But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves." Commitment to God is not passive, it requires daily surrender, prayer, and obedience. Your declaration that "Jesus is my everything" is powerful, but we must ensure that this truth shapes every area of life, including relationships, thoughts, and actions.
Let us pray with you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this sister in Christ who has humbly confessed her sins and sought Your forgiveness. Lord, we thank You for Your mercy that is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). Cleanse her from all unrighteousness and fill her with Your Holy Spirit. Help her to walk in obedience, not just in word but in deed. Father, reveal to her the specific steps You have for her life, how You want her to serve, love, and glorify You. Strengthen her commitment to You, that Your promises may manifest in her life as she trusts and obeys.
Lord, we also pray for protection over her heart and mind. Guard her from temptation, from the lies of the enemy, and from anything that would draw her away from You. Surround her with godly fellowship and accountability, that she may grow in faith and maturity. May her life be a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to You (Romans 12:1).
We rebuke any spirit of condemnation or shame that may try to linger after repentance. You have cast her sins as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12), and we declare that she is forgiven, redeemed, and made new in Christ. May she walk in the freedom and purpose You have for her, serving You with all her heart.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to immerse yourself in God’s Word daily, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Seek out a Bible-believing church where you can grow in fellowship and be discipled. Remember, your identity is not in your past sins but in Christ, who has made you a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). Keep pressing forward, for the Lord is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).
