We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, trusting in His sovereignty and care over every aspect of our lives, including our health and the treatments we receive. It is a comfort to know that you are seeking God’s protection and healing in Jesus’ name, for it is only through Him that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence. As the Scriptures remind us, *"This is the confidence which we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him"* (1 John 5:14-15, WEB).
We also take this moment to encourage you to continue placing your trust in the Great Physician, who knows your son’s body, mind, and spirit far better than any human doctor. While medications can be a tool God uses for healing, our ultimate hope rests in Him alone. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). Even in moments of uncertainty, we can find peace in knowing that God’s plans for your son are good, and He is working all things together for his benefit and His glory (Romans 8:28).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the life of this precious son. Lord, You are the One who formed him in his mother’s womb, and You know every cell of his body. We ask for Your divine protection over him as he receives this medication. Guard him from any harmful side effects, and let this treatment bring healing and restoration to his body. Strengthen his immune system, renew his cells, and grant him vitality and health. We pray that no weapon formed against him—whether in the form of illness, adverse reactions, or fear—shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Lord, we also ask for wisdom for the doctors and caregivers involved in his treatment. Guide their hands and decisions, and let them act in alignment with Your will. Fill this family with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Remind them that You are near, and that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We declare Your promises over this son’s life, that he shall live and not die, and declare the works of the Lord (Psalm 118:17). May this season of treatment be a testimony of Your faithfulness and power. Let it draw this family closer to You, deepening their trust and reliance on Your perfect love.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Surround your son with declarations of Scripture, such as *"By his stripes, we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5) and *"The Lord sustains him on his sickbed; in his illness you restore him to full health"* (Psalm 41:3, NIV). Keep a heart of gratitude, even in the waiting, for God is at work. If fear or doubt begin to creep in, take those thoughts captive and submit them to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). You are not alone in this—God is with you, and so are we, standing in agreement for your son’s complete healing and protection.
