We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, trusting in His sovereign care and healing power. The Scriptures remind us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He is the Great Physician, who knows our bodies intimately and holds all things together by the word of His power (Colossians 1:17, Hebrews 1:3). We take comfort in knowing that nothing escapes His notice, and He cares deeply for your son’s well-being.
It is good that you have brought this request in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Ephesians 2:18). The Bible assures us that whatever we ask in His name, according to His will, He hears us (1 John 5:14-15). So we come boldly before the throne of grace, seeking mercy and help in this time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
We also encourage you to trust in God’s perfect plan, even when the path is uncertain. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* While we pray for protection from harmful side effects, we also surrender to His wisdom, knowing that He works all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28).
Let us also remember that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we are called to steward them wisely. If this medication is necessary for your son’s health, we pray that God would guide the medical professionals involved, granting them wisdom and skill. We ask that He would mitigate any adverse effects and bring healing and restoration to your son’s body.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for Your love and faithfulness. Lord, we lift up this precious son to You, asking for Your divine protection over his body as he receives this medication. Shield him from any serious side effects, and let this treatment bring the healing and help it is intended to provide. You are the God who sees and knows all things—nothing is hidden from Your sight. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect will for his life.
Lord Jesus, by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We ask that You would stretch out Your hand and touch him, just as You did for so many during Your earthly ministry. Give his body the strength to respond well to this treatment, and let no harm come to him. Surround him with Your peace, and fill his heart with hope and trust in You.
Holy Spirit, comfort this family as they wait upon You. Remind them of Your promises and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). Guide the doctors and all those involved in his care, giving them wisdom and discernment.
Father, we also ask that You would use this situation to draw this family closer to You. Let them see Your hand at work in their lives, and may their faith be strengthened through this trial. We pray all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We will continue to stand with you in prayer, believing that God is at work in your son’s life. Keep seeking Him, trusting in His promises, and leaning on His strength. May the Lord bless you and keep you, and may His face shine upon you and be gracious to you (Numbers 6:24-26).
