We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, trusting in His sovereign care and healing power. It is a comfort to know that you have placed this burden in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence. As Scripture reminds us, *"Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need"* (Hebrews 4:16, WEB).
The fear of side effects from medication is a heavy weight to carry, but we serve a God who is greater than any earthly remedy. While doctors and treatments are tools He can use, our ultimate trust must rest in Him alone. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). We pray that this injection would be a means of restoration for your son, that his body would respond well, and that any potential harm would be prevented by the Lord’s mighty hand.
Yet, even if challenges arise, we know that God’s purposes are perfect, and His grace is sufficient. *"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness"* (2 Corinthians 12:9, WEB). Whether in healing or in trial, may your son—and your entire family—experience the peace that surpasses understanding, guarding your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Let us also encourage you to continue seeking the Lord’s wisdom in this season. If anxiety or doubt creep in, cling to His promises. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB).
**Our Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the life of this precious son. Lord, we ask that You would cover him with Your healing hand as he receives this medication. May it bring the intended benefit without harmful side effects. Give wisdom to the doctors and caregivers involved, and let every cell in his body respond in a way that honors Your design. If there are any unseen dangers, we pray You would intervene and protect him, for You are his shield and defender.
We also lift up this parent’s heart, asking that You would replace fear with faith, doubt with trust, and worry with Your perfect peace. Remind them that You hold their son in the palm of Your hand, and nothing can separate him from Your love (Romans 8:38-39). Strengthen the entire family, drawing them closer to You through this trial.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray—*the name above every name, through whom all things were created and in whom all things hold together* (Colossians 1:16-17). May Your will be done, and may Your glory be revealed. Amen.
