We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, trusting in His sovereign care and healing power. It is a comfort to see that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence. As Scripture reminds us, *"All things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them"* (Mark 11:24, WEB). We stand in faith with you, believing that God hears and answers according to His perfect will.
The fear of side effects from medication is a heavy burden, but we are called to cast all our anxieties upon the Lord, for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). While medicine can be a tool God uses for healing, our ultimate trust must rest in Him alone. *"The Lord sustains them on their sickbed and restores them from their bed of illness"* (Psalm 41:3, WEB). We pray that this injection would be used by God to bring restoration to your son’s body, that any potential harm would be prevented by the Lord’s mighty hand, and that his body would respond with strength and resilience.
Yet, we also recognize that God’s ways are higher than ours, and His plans are for our ultimate good—even when we do not understand them (Isaiah 55:8-9, WEB). If challenges arise, we pray for wisdom for you and the medical team caring for your son, that every decision would be guided by the Holy Spirit. *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him"* (James 1:5, WEB).
Father in Heaven, we come before You with humble and hopeful hearts, lifting up this precious son to Your care. You are the Great Physician, the One who knit him together in his mother’s womb and knows every cell of his body. We ask that You would surround this medication with Your divine protection, that it would bring healing and not harm. Guard his body from any adverse effects, and let this treatment be a tool for restoration in Your hands. Strengthen his immune system, renew his energy, and fill his body with Your healing power.
Lord, we also pray for peace for this mother’s heart. Replace fear with faith, anxiety with trust, and doubt with the assurance that You are in control. Remind her that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18, WEB). Let her see Your hand at work in her son’s life, and may this trial become a testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness.
