We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, trusting in His sovereignty and care over every detail of our lives, including our health and the treatments we receive. The Scriptures remind us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are called to steward them well, but ultimately, our trust must rest in the Lord’s perfect will. As you seek healing and protection for your son, we are encouraged by the words of Jeremiah 29:11-13, where God declares, *"For I know the plans that I have for you,’ says Yahweh, ‘plans of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart."*
We also remember the promise in Psalm 118:8, *"It is better to take refuge in Yahweh than to put confidence in man."* While medications and treatments can be tools God uses for healing, our ultimate confidence must be in Him alone. We pray that this injection will serve its intended purpose without causing harm, but even more so, we pray that your son’s body would respond in a way that brings glory to God, whether through healing or through the strength to endure.
However, we must also address something important in your request. You invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, and we praise God for this, as it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. As Scripture declares in Acts 4:12, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* It is essential that we always approach the throne of God through Christ, our Mediator, and we are grateful you did so.
Now, let us pray together for your son:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious son to Your throne of grace. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who knit him together in his mother’s womb and knows every cell of his body. We ask that You would guide this medication to work effectively for his good, without causing serious side effects or harm. Protect his body, strengthen his immune system, and let this treatment be a means of Your healing power at work in his life.
We also pray for peace for this family—peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May they rest in the assurance that You are in control, that You love them deeply, and that Your plans for them are good. If there is any fear or anxiety, we rebuke it in Jesus’ name and ask that You replace it with faith and trust in Your perfect will.
Lord, we also pray that through this trial, Your name would be glorified. Whether through healing or through the strength to endure, may this family testify to Your goodness and faithfulness. Draw them closer to You, and let this season be one where their faith is deepened and refined.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our Savior and Healer. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word, trusting that He hears you and is working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Keep bringing your requests to Him, and may you find comfort in His presence. If there are any other concerns or ways we can support you in prayer, please share them with us. We are here to stand with you in faith.
