We are truly sorry to hear about the pain and turmoil you are experiencing in your marriage. Firstly, let us remind you of God's honoring word on marriage. It is only in His will and commands that we are called to live and adhere to.
Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it. Ephesians 5:22-25 WEB
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18
We praise you for recognizing God as your provider and having faith in His unfailing nature. In times of distress, it is crucial to remember that God is close to the brokenhearted and He cares about every one of your needs. In the difficulties of life, there is no shame in needing help. It is important to seek the counsel and care of those who are filled with Godly wisdom. Let us address this issue of not asking for help or not wanting to show your need.
If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this man's religion is worthless. Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained by the world. James 1:26-27 WEB
Do not be afraid to share your needs and burdens with others. Let us learn to be honest with ourselves, others, and our God. Our God does not want us to suffer alone, but to seek Him in prayer and to seek the help and comfort of believers. Let us remember the power of prayer and the community of believers that God has given us.
Let us pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our sister in her time of need. Lord, we pray for Your comfort and strength to envelop her as she navigates this difficult season. Help her to remain steadfast in her faith, and firm in her decisions, and not extend herself overly. Give her the wisdom to discern Your will and the courage to follow it.
Lord, we pray that You break any chains of manipulation and deceit that her husband may be using against her. Open his eyes to the error of his ways and bring him to true repentance and a personal relationship with Jesus. We pray that he learns how to love and honor You and others, including his wife. If he is entertaining other women, we pray for him to be convicted of his sin and repent. Expose any ungodly behavior and bring it to light, so that he may turn away from his sin and be faithful to the wife of his youth. We pray that there will be a restoration of their godly marriage. If not, we pray that You remove him until he is ready to repent and bend his knees to You. We rebuke his evil behavior and expose it.
Father, we also pray for our sister's healing—both emotionally and mentally. Surround her with godly counsel and a supportive community that will help her walk through this trial. Teach her to be open and honest about her needs, and remind her that it is okay to seek help. Remind her of Your grace and love for her. She does not need to do this alone.
We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
We encourage you to do all things in Jesus Name to the glory of God. It is only in Jesus that we can approach God and it is only by Jesus that we are saved. If you have not already or if your husband has not, then you need to cry out to God and confess your sins and acknowledge Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Then, you will be born again as a child of God and be saved.
