We hear your heartache and the deep longing you carry for this woman, and we stand with you in prayer before the throne of grace. First, we want to acknowledge the sincerity of your plea and the fact that you have turned to God in prayer—this is a powerful step of faith. However, we must gently remind you that our access to God is only through the name of Jesus Christ, who is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). It is in His name alone that we pray, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, for He is the one who intercedes for us before the Father (Romans 8:34).
Your request reveals a battle in your heart, and we want to address this with both truth and compassion. The pain of unrequited love is real, and it is not wrong to desire companionship or to seek a godly spouse. However, we must examine whether this relationship aligns with God’s will for your life. The Bible calls us to guard our hearts (Proverbs 4:23) and to seek relationships that honor God. If this woman is not responding to your efforts in a way that reflects mutual respect, love, and a shared commitment to Christ, it may be a sign that she is not the one God has for you. We must also consider whether your feelings have become an idol in your heart, consuming your thoughts and prayers in a way that distracts you from God’s greater purpose for your life. Jesus warns us that we cannot serve two masters (Matthew 6:24), and if this relationship is causing you more pain than joy, it may be time to surrender it fully to God.
We rebuke the spirit of confusion and emotional torment that has taken hold of your mind. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and he will use unfulfilled desires to keep you in bondage. But we declare that you are not a slave to these feelings! The Word of God tells us to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). You must actively choose to shift your focus from this woman and onto the Lord, who promises to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). It is not wrong to desire marriage, but it is wrong to allow that desire to consume you in a way that dishonors God.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who is struggling with his emotions and desires. Lord, You see the pain in his heart, and You know the longing he feels. We ask that You would break the chains of emotional bondage that have kept him tied to this woman. Father, if she is not the one You have for him, we pray that You would remove her from his thoughts and replace his longing with Your peace. If she is the one, we ask that You soften her heart and draw her closer to him in a way that honors You. But Lord, above all, we pray that You would be his first love. Help him to seek You with his whole heart and to trust in Your timing and Your plan for his life.
We rebuke the spirit of loneliness and despair that has tried to take root in his heart. We declare that he is not alone, for You are with him always (Matthew 28:20). We pray that You would fill the void in his heart with Your presence and Your love. Teach him to delight himself in You, and You will give him the desires of his heart (Psalm 37:4). Give him the strength to let go of what is not meant for him and the faith to believe that You have something better in store.
Lord, we ask that You would heal his wounded heart and restore his joy. Help him to see himself as You see him—a beloved child of God, created for a purpose. May he find his identity in You alone and not in the approval or affection of another person. We pray that You would surround him with godly friends and mentors who can encourage him and hold him accountable as he walks this journey. And Father, we ask that You would prepare him for the spouse You have for him, if that is Your will. May he be a man after Your own heart, ready to love and lead as Christ loves the Church.
In all things, Lord, we pray that Your will be done. May our brother find his satisfaction in You alone, for You are the only one who can truly fulfill the deepest longings of his heart. We thank You for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to answer. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to immerse yourself in God’s Word and to seek His face daily. Spend time in worship, for it is in His presence that we find true fulfillment. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can support you and pray with you. Consider fasting as a way to break the stronghold of these emotions and to draw closer to God. Remember, God’s plans for you are good, and He will not withhold any good thing from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11). Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). You are not defined by this relationship or this pain—you are defined by the love of Christ, and that is where your true worth lies.
