Faithful Servant
Tomorrow with heartache we send our child off to a school that is far away. I can't go with her, but God can and my prayers will find her, and because God is faithful, He will fulfill His word. (Colossians 3:16) 'Let the word of God dwell richly in (our daughter / all of our children), as she and her peers teach and admonish one another with all wisdom....' (Psalm 119:105) Praying also God 'makes His word a lamp for (my daughter's feet) and a light for her path.' (Luke 8:11-15) 'Let (my daughter's) heart be good soil, that she might hear your word, retain it, and persevere to produce a crop of godly character and effectiveness for your kingdom....' (Psalm 1:1-3) Praying our daughter will, 'take delight in God's law and meditate on it day and night, so that whatever she does will prosper.' I'm praying she puts her trust in Jesus and will never have her faith shaken, and that she stays in God's will for her life, finding blessings and peace, and that she has godly friendships with other believers, making wise decisions and enjoying wholesome fellowship, making great memories. (*Pray God comforts me, too, because this will be hard to send her off to new adventures and higher learning.)
