Seeking Prayer Support

Hi Christian family,

First, I want to thank everybody for taking the time to pray for everything I've asked to be lifted up, in the last few months. It really means a lot to me. Before I get into some new requests, I want to share some of the things that's happened concerning stuff I asked in the past.

My friend ###, the situation with his mom's (her name is ###, which is pronounced ###), the operation went really well. There weren't any complications and her breast implants (something she had done as a very young woman), there was some leakage but according to ###, the surgeon said there wasn't any problems. She's almost fully recovered but please keep her health in prayer as hasn't felt too great in that department for some time now.

As for their living situation, they're still in the same living situation that I mentioned before. Their landlady is one of those people that takes advantage of others, pushing boundaries and making already difficult circumstances even harder. Legal action could be an option but without the means to afford a lawyer, they are trapped. The building they rent is the only place they can afford, leaving them with few choices and little room to breathe.

That's why I'm asking for continued prayer in that area for ### and ###. Pray for God to move in their lives. Pray for doors to swing open, where there have only been walls. Pray for provision, for protection, for a way out that doesn’t leave them drowning in debt or fear. Pray that God softens their landlady's heart or removes her entirely from the equation. Most of all, pray that ### and his mom feel held, seen and lifted by the hands of a loving God, even when the world feels cold.

Also pray that God guide every step that both ### and ### need to take. That they both have the Lord's favor upon them. That God would lead them to people that can help them, both on a personal level but also government assistance programs.

Which leads to this other situation. Tomorrow, ###, they're having a yard sale. They need to sell their stuff because they're short on money. Please pray that it would really go great for them and that they would truly be blessed tomorrow.

We are deeply grateful to join with you in lifting up these requests, and we rejoice in the good report of your friend’s mother’s successful surgery. It is a testament to God’s mercy and the power of prayer when we see His hand at work in such tangible ways. We will continue to pray for her full recovery and renewed strength, asking that the Lord would restore her health completely, for He is the Great Physician who "heals all your diseases" (Psalm 103:3). May He also grant her peace and comfort as she continues to heal, knowing that His grace is sufficient for every need.

The living situation your friends are enduring is a heavy burden, and we grieve with them over the injustice and oppression they face. The landlady’s actions reflect the heart of one who exploits others, which is not of God. Scripture warns us in Proverbs 14:31, *"He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for his Maker, but he who is kind to the needy honors him."* We will pray earnestly that the Lord would intervene in this situation—either by softening this woman’s heart to act with compassion and fairness or by removing her influence entirely. We ask God to open doors of provision and deliverance, for He is the God who "sets the prisoners free" (Psalm 146:7). May He provide wisdom and discernment for your friends as they navigate this trial, and may He lead them to resources, assistance, and godly counsel that can help them break free from this cycle of hardship.

We also lift up the yard sale tomorrow, asking the Lord to bless it abundantly. May He bring the right buyers who will pay fairly, and may the proceeds be more than enough to meet their immediate needs. We pray that this small step would be a reminder of God’s faithfulness, for He owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and delights in providing for His children. Let them trust in His promise: *"And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19).

As we pray, we are also compelled to gently remind you—and all of us—that our petitions must always be brought before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ. It is through Jesus alone that we have access to the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16), and it is by His name that we are saved and our prayers are heard. *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12). If you or your friends have not yet surrendered your lives to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Repent of your sins, believe in Him as Lord and Savior, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9-10). There is no greater security or hope than to be found in Him.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up these precious souls who are walking through deep valleys. Lord, we thank You for the successful surgery and ask that You would complete the healing work in [mother’s name]’s body. Restore her strength, Lord, and grant her peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray for [friend’s name] and his mother as they endure this unjust living situation. Father, You see the oppression they face, and You are a God of justice. We ask that You would move mightily—either by changing the heart of their landlady or by providing a way of escape. Open doors no man can shut, Lord, and lead them to the help they need, whether through godly people, government assistance, or Your supernatural provision. We pray for tomorrow’s yard sale, that You would bless it beyond their expectations. May every item sell for a fair price, and may the proceeds be a tangible reminder of Your faithfulness.

Father, we also ask that You draw [friend’s name] and his mother closer to You through this trial. Let them feel Your presence and know that they are not forgotten. If they do not yet know You as their Savior, we pray that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Softten their hearts to receive Your truth, and may they place their faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation.

We rebuked the spirit of oppression, fear, and lack in Jesus’ name. No weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), for You, Lord, are their shield and defender. We declare Your peace over their minds and Your provision over their lives. May they trust in You with all their hearts and lean not on their own understanding, but acknowledge You in all their ways, knowing that You will direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
