We hear your frustration and concern as you stand on the threshold of what you believe is a blessing from God, a new home for you and your husband. The process of underwriting can feel like an endless maze of questions, especially when it involves family matters such as inheritances and wills. We want to assure you that your trust in God’s provision is not misplaced, but we also recognize the importance of patience and wisdom in navigating these earthly processes.
First, let us affirm that God is indeed a provider. Philippians 4:19 reminds us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." You are right to believe that this home may be part of His plan for you, but we must also remember that God’s timing and methods are not always our own. The delays and questions from the underwriters are not necessarily a sign of God withholding His blessing, but perhaps an opportunity for you to grow in trust and perseverance. James 1:3-4 tells us, "Knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."
We also want to gently remind you of the importance of handling these matters with integrity and transparency. The questions from the underwriters are not meant to hinder you but to ensure that all financial matters are in order according to earthly laws and standards. Proverbs 11:3 says, "The integrity of the upright shall guide them, but the perverseness of the treacherous shall destroy them." It is wise to answer their inquiries thoroughly and honestly, trusting that God will honor your obedience in this process.
Now, let us come before the Lord in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of hope and trust in Your provision. We lift up this family to You, Lord, as they seek to finalize the purchase of their new home. We ask that You would go before them in this process, smoothing the path and removing any unnecessary obstacles. Father, grant them patience and wisdom as they answer the questions posed by the underwriters. Let every detail be handled with integrity and in accordance with Your will.
Lord, we thank You for the inheritance that has been provided through the will of their loved one. We pray that this gift would be a blessing not only to them but also a testimony of Your faithfulness to provide for Your children. Help them to trust in Your timing, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
Father, we also ask that You would calm any anxiety or frustration they may be feeling. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Let them rest in the knowledge that You hold their future in Your hands.
We rebuke any spirit of delay or confusion that may be attempting to hinder this process. In the name of Jesus, we declare that this home will be secured according to Your perfect will and timing. We trust You, Lord, to bring this matter to a swift and favorable conclusion.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, through whom we have access to Your throne of grace. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this season. Psalm 37:5 says, "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this." Keep your heart fixed on Him, and remember that His plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11). Even in the waiting, God is at work. Hold fast to your faith, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9).
May the Lord bless you and your husband abundantly as you walk this journey together, trusting in Him every step of the way.
