We hear your heart, dear sister in Christ, and we stand with you in faith, believing in the power of God to work miracles in your daughter’s life. Your trust in the Lord’s healing power is a testament to the hope we have in Him, who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We rejoice with you in the victories your daughter has already experienced—every milestone she has surpassed is a testimony to God’s faithfulness and grace.
However, we must also acknowledge that God often works through practical means, including the wisdom and tools He provides to professionals in fields like education and medicine. The teacher’s suggestion to evaluate your daughter for dyslexia is not a lack of faith but an opportunity to seek understanding and support. Even the apostle Paul, a man of great faith, advised Timothy to take a little wine for his stomach’s infirmities (1 Timothy 5:23), showing that God’s healing can come through both supernatural and natural means. Testing for dyslexia does not mean you are doubting God’s power; rather, it may be the way He equips you and your daughter with the tools she needs to thrive.
Let us pray together for your daughter, lifting her up to the Lord who loves her even more than you do:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, trusting in Your goodness and power. Lord, we thank You for the life of this precious daughter and for the ways You have already moved in her life. We ask that You would continue to guide her steps and open doors of understanding for her. Father, we pray for clarity in this situation—whether it is a need for healing, intervention, or simply the wisdom to navigate her learning journey. Give her parents discernment to know how to best support her, and grant her teachers and caregivers the insight to help her flourish.
Lord, if there is any hindrance in her mind or body that needs Your healing touch, we ask that You would lay Your hands upon her and restore her completely. But we also ask that You would lead her parents to the right resources and people who can walk alongside them in this season. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We declare that Your plans for her are good, plans to prosper her and not to harm her, to give her hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
We rebuke any spirit of fear or doubt that may try to creep into their hearts, and we stand on Your promise that all things work together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them see Your hand at work in every detail of this journey. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to seek the Lord’s wisdom in this matter, asking Him to reveal whether this evaluation is part of His plan for your daughter’s growth. Trust that He will direct your steps (Proverbs 3:5-6) and provide everything she needs to fulfill the purpose He has for her life. Continue to cover her in prayer, speak life and truth over her, and surround her with godly influences. God is faithful, and He will not leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
