I got mad this morning and blocked the people who have been scamming my elderly mom, and even trying to draw her into an emotional affair with one of them, from her phone. These are people who used to be in my life who I thought were like family. I connected them to my mom but when my relationship with them deteriorated they began scamming her and using her to harm me at the encouragement of someone else. This morning, I reported their WhatsApp accounts, blocked them from her phone, reported them to the necessary authorities and then messaged them from my own WhatsApp account and told them that they had been reported and to cease contact with my mom. I haven't told my mom anything as she will not understand or see reason (she is under some sort of witchcraft when it comes to this and some other situations). If I tell her, she will probably get so upset that she might even get physically ill. I have asked my sister to also tell them to leave her alone. These people are scamming my mom at the encouragement of people who are trying to harm me. My mom's family, my dad's family and even my sister's husband are all also involved in telling them to scam my mom and draw her into an unhealthy bond/attachment with them.

Your mother’s inability to see reason may indeed have spiritual roots, as you’ve discerned, for the enemy seeks to confuse, divide, and destroy families. But take heart: *"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places"* (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). This is not a battle you fight alone.
Your actions to block, report, and sever contact were necessary and just. Proverbs 22:3 (WEB) warns, *"A prudent man sees danger and hides himself; but the simple pass on, and suffer for it."* You have acted prudently, and we pray that the authorities you’ve alerted will take swift action to hold these individuals accountable.
