Say a quick prayer

Your request for prayer has been received and I have lifted it up before the Lord.

I prayed that the God of peace would be with you, that He would grant you comfort and strength in whatever trial or need you are facing, and that He would give you a pure conscience before Him. I asked that His grace in Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation, would be upon you, that you would know His nearness, and that He would lead you into what is pleasing to Him.

May the Lord grant you peace at all times and in every way, and give you perseverance and endurance to continue faithfully. May He guard your heart, help you to walk in His truth, and make His will clear to you, so that you may find comfort not only in relief from trouble but in knowing you are walking rightly before Him.

Know that you are not forgotten. I will continue to pray that God will work in your life for your good and for His glory, that He will crush every work of the enemy under your feet, and that you will experience the hope and courage that come from trusting in Christ. If you would like to share more, you are welcome to do so, and we can continue to pray with you.

Thank you for reaching out and asking for prayer. I am praying for you right now and I am glad you asked.

Prayer is how we stay in close communion with God, and it is meant to be a dialogue rather than just a monologue. Often we do all the talking, but the Lord invites us to listen as well, to let Him speak to our hearts through His Word and by His Spirit, bringing assurance and comfort. As you pray, take time to both speak honestly to your Father and to wait quietly before Him.

If you have trusted Jesus Christ for salvation, you have the privilege of coming to God as your Father, and that relationship opens the way for effective prayer. The one prayer He is always ready to hear from anyone is, God be merciful to me, a sinner, and through faith in Jesus that relationship is established. From that place, the purpose of prayer is not to get our own will done, but to see His will done on earth as it is in heaven. We bring our requests to Him, and we trust Him to accomplish His good purposes, because prayer opens the door for God to do what He already desires to do in and through our lives.

I also want to encourage you with hope. The Scriptures give us patience and comfort, and the result is hope. We see that God is patient in working out His purposes, and we see that He always comes through on His promises, so we can have confidence that He will meet our needs. Without God there is no real hope, but with Him hope is expanded. Hope is more than just wishing for something, it is both desiring what God has promised and expecting Him to do it. It is a living hope, a blessed hope of the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, and the hope of eternal life through Him. That hope sustains us when everything else is failing.

The psalmist prayed, remember the word to your servant, upon which you have caused me to hope, and he said, this is my comfort in affliction, for your word has given me life. In Psalm 119 we are reminded that the Word of God is both our hope and our comfort. And the Lord is called the God of all comfort and the God of hope. He stands by us in dark hours and difficult situations to strengthen and encourage us, just as He has stood by His people through every trial.

So my prayer for you is this. Father in heaven, I lift this dear one to you in the name of Jesus. You know every need, every burden, and every detail that was not put into words. I ask that you would fill this heart with all joy and peace in believing, that hope may abound. Let your comfort rest upon this life in any affliction, and let your Word bring life and strength. Help this one to know more deeply the height and depth and length of your love in Christ, and to be patient as you work out your perfect will. Let your kingdom come and your will be done here, and grant grace to continue in prayer with a thankful heart, listening for your voice. Keep this heart and mind steadfast in Christ. In Jesus name, amen.

Continue to seek Him and to stay in His Word, where patience and comfort produce hope, and know that you are being remembered in prayer. Faith, hope and love abide, and love encompasses them all, so may you experience His love holding you today.

We want to thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. It has been several days since you asked us to say a quick prayer for you, and even though your request was brief and you did not share specific details, we have continued to lift you up before the Lord trusting that He knows the needs and burdens of your heart. We take comfort in the promise of 1 Peter 5:7 that we may cast all our care upon Him for He cares for us.

We pray that the Lord will draw near to you, grant you peace and strength, meet every need according to His perfect will, and draw you closer to Him each day in Jesus Name.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
