SAVE TROUBLED MARRIAGE

My daughter-in-law has walked out on my son, he doesn't know where she is, just left a note telling him to take his things and leave home by Saturday. Please pray for them both, that they not point fingers and make accusations instead see the faults each one has and save this troubled marriage. They leave all that's happened behind and remember their vows to each other, the strong love they had, get counseling, reconcile and salvage their marriage. With God all things are possible, help me pray, amen.

We join you in lifting up this broken marriage before the Lord, knowing that He is the God of restoration and redemption. The enemy seeks to destroy what God has joined together, but we stand firm in the truth that nothing is impossible with our Heavenly Father. Marriage is a sacred covenant before God, and He calls us to honor the vows made before Him, even in the hardest of times.

The Scriptures remind us in **1 Corinthians 7:10-11 (WEB)**, *"To the married I command—not I, but the Lord—that the wife not leave her husband (but if she departs, let her remain unmarried, or else be reconciled to her husband), and that the husband not leave his wife."* This is a clear call to reconciliation, not separation. The Lord desires unity, and He can soften hearts and bring healing where there is brokenness.

We also see in **Ephesians 4:31-32 (WEB)**, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* This is the posture both your son and daughter-in-law must take—laying down pride, bitterness, and blame, and instead choosing humility, forgiveness, and love.

If there has been sin—whether unforgiveness, harsh words, neglect, or even unfaithfulness—it must be repented of. **Proverbs 28:13 (WEB)** says, *"He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy."* True reconciliation begins with honest confession and a turning away from sin.

We must also address the urgency of this situation. Your son must not simply move out as if this separation is final. Instead, he should seek his wife with a heart of reconciliation, as **1 Peter 3:7 (WEB)** instructs husbands to *"live with your wives in an understanding way, as with the weaker vessel, honoring them as joint heirs of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered."* If she has left, he must pursue her in love, not anger, and urge her to return—not by force, but by the leading of the Holy Spirit.

At the same time, we pray that your daughter-in-law’s heart would be softened. May the Lord convict her of any wrongdoing and draw her back to her husband and to the Lord Himself. If she is a believer, may she remember that her marriage is a reflection of Christ and the Church (**Ephesians 5:22-33**), and that walking away is not God’s will unless there is unrepentant, dangerous sin (such as abuse or persistent adultery). Even then, the goal should be restoration if possible.

We strongly encourage professional biblical counseling for both of them—individually at first if necessary, but ultimately together. A godly counselor can help them navigate their pain, identify root issues, and guide them toward healing in Christ. The church should also be involved, as **Galatians 6:1-2 (WEB)** tells us, *"Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren’t tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."*

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this broken marriage. Lord, You hate divorce (**Malachi 2:16**), and we ask that You intervene supernaturally in this situation. Soften the heart of this daughter-in-law—wherever she is, Lord, speak to her spirit. Convict her of any sin, and draw her back to her husband and to You. Give her no peace until she returns to the covenant she made before You.

Father, we pray for our brother’s son—give him wisdom, strength, and a spirit of humility. Help him to respond in love, not anger. If he has contributed to this brokenness, reveal it to him and grant him the grace to repent. Let him pursue his wife as Christ pursues His Bride, with patience and selfless love.

Lord, break down every wall of pride, bitterness, and misunderstanding between them. Bind the enemy who seeks to destroy this marriage, and let Your Holy Spirit move mightily in their hearts. Raise up godly counselors and believers to come alongside them, speaking truth and hope into their lives.

We declare that this marriage will not end in divorce, but in restoration. Let them remember their vows, their love, and the commitment they made before You. Heal their wounds, Lord, and reunite them in a way that brings glory to Your name.

We also pray for this family—give them peace, Father, and surround them with Your comfort. Let them trust in You, even in this storm.

In the powerful name of Jesus, we rebuke the spirit of division and declare reconciliation, unity, and healing over this marriage. Let Your will be done, Lord. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to continue standing in the gap for them. Fast and pray, believing that God is working even when you don’t see it. Remind your son that his strength must come from the Lord, and that he must guard his heart against bitterness. If his wife is willing, he should not delay in seeking reconciliation. If she is not yet responsive, he must still walk in obedience, trusting God to move in His timing.

Stay encouraged—our God is a God of miracles, and He is able to save this marriage. Keep believing!

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred opportunity to lift your son, your daughter-in-law, and your family before the Lord in these painful days. Our hearts have been burdened alongside yours as we’ve prayed for reconciliation, for softened hearts, and for God’s healing hand to move mightily in this broken situation. We know the ache of watching a marriage unravel must feel unbearable, and we’ve been standing with you in faith, believing that what seems impossible to man is never impossible for our God.

If there has been any movement—whether a restored conversation, a returned call, or even the smallest glimmer of hope—we would love for you to share a praise report so we can rejoice with you and give God the glory. Even the tiniest step forward is worth celebrating when we serve a God who specializes in redemption.

But if Saturday has come and gone with no resolution, if the silence remains heavy or the pain feels even sharper, we want you to know we are still here. Post your request again, and let us continue to storm heaven’s gates with you. We will pray for your son’s strength in this waiting, for your daughter-in-law’s heart to be tendered by the Holy Spirit, and for wisdom to guide every decision. We will ask God to expose the lies of the enemy that seek to divide, and to remind them both of the covenant they made before Him—one He has not forgotten. And we will lift *you*, too, as you walk this difficult path, asking the Lord to fill you with His peace that surpasses understanding and His hope that does not disappoint.

Do not lose heart, dear friend. We are still believing with you for restoration, for a miracle that will leave no doubt of God’s hand at work. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and know that we are right beside you in faith.

In Jesus’ powerful and redeeming name.
