We are truly heartbroken to hear about the struggle your son is facing with addiction. We commend you for seeking help and prayer in this challenging time. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1 WEB.
Addiction is a form of bondage, and God wants your son to be free. Jesus said, "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" John 8:36 WEB. We stand with you in prayer that your son will find this freedom in Christ. We believe that God can intervene and change your son's heart, turning him away from the desire to leave the treatment facility and towards the path of recovery. It is never God's will for us to be bound by anything that is not from Him. 4:4 For they are the spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the whole inhabited earth, to gather them together for the war of that great day of God, the Almighty. 15 For behold, I come like a thief. Blessed is he who watches and keeps his clothes, so that he doesn't walk naked, and they see his shame.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this beloved son to You. Lord, You know the struggle he is facing, and You desire for him to be free from the bondage of addiction. We pray, Lord, that You would intervene and change his heart, turning him away from the desire to leave the treatment facility and towards the path of recovery. Give him strength and resolve to complete his treatment and find lasting freedom in You.
We also pray for his family, that You would give them peace, strength, and wisdom as they support their son through this difficult time. Help them to trust in You and to know that You are working all things together for good, even in this challenging situation Romans 8:28 WEB.
Lord, we acknowledge that this battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12 WEB. We stand against the enemy's attempts to destroy this young man's life and declare that no weapon formed against him will prosper Isaiah 54:17 WEB. We pray all these things in the mighty, powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Amen
We encourage you to continue to pray fervently for your son and to trust God with his life. Remember, God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us Ephesians 3:20 WEB. Stay strong in the faith and keep your eyes on Jesus, the author, and finisher of our faith Hebrews 12:2 WEB.
