We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you and your family up in prayer. This situation is deeply troubling, and we stand with you in seeking God’s deliverance, wisdom, and provision. The harassment and threats you are facing are unjust, and we rebuke the spirit of fear and oppression in the name of Jesus. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:17-19, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."
First, we must address the root of this financial burden. Debt can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who is Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. We pray that the Lord would open doors for you and your husband to receive the retirement benefits due to him without delay. May He move in the hearts of those responsible to process this swiftly and justly, so that the funds may be released to you. Proverbs 22:7 reminds us, "The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender." We pray for God’s intervention to break this cycle of debt and restore your financial stability.
We also rebuke the harassment you are enduring. The threats and intimidation are not of God, and we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for protection over you, your husband, and your family—spiritually, emotionally, and physically. May the Lord surround you with His peace and shield you from the shame and embarrassment these lenders seek to bring upon you. In 2 Thessalonians 3:3, we are assured, "But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one." We stand on this promise and declare that you will not be put to shame.
We encourage you to seek wise counsel in handling this debt. Proverbs 15:22 says, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." If possible, consult with a trusted financial advisor or a godly mentor who can help you navigate repayment options or negotiate with the lenders in a way that honors God. The Lord can use even this trial to strengthen your faith and teach you to rely on Him more fully.
We also lift up your desire to restore your reputation and standing in your office, family, and society. The enemy may seek to tarnish your name, but God is able to turn what was meant for harm into a testimony of His faithfulness. We pray that the Lord would grant you favor with those around you and that your integrity would shine through even in this difficult season. Proverbs 3:3-4 says, "Don’t let kindness and truth forsake you. Bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor, and good understanding in the sight of God and man." May this be your portion as you walk in humility and trust in the Lord.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear sister and her family. Lord, You see the weight of this burden and the fear that grips her heart. We ask that You would arise as her Defender and Provider. Break the chains of debt and harassment, Lord, and let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard her heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). Father, we pray for the swift release of her husband’s retirement benefits. Move in the hearts of those who hold the power to grant this, and let no delay or obstacle stand in the way. You are the God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and we trust You to provide for every need.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear and intimidation that seeks to torment her. Let Your angels encamp around her and her family, protecting them from every threat and scheme of the enemy. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Father, restore her reputation and grant her favor in the eyes of those around her. Let her life be a testimony of Your grace and faithfulness, even in this trial.
We also ask for wisdom, Lord. Give her discernment to know how to handle this debt and the courage to seek help where needed. Teach her to trust in You with all her heart and not lean on her own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). May this season draw her closer to You and deepen her faith. Provide for her family’s needs, Lord, and let there be enough not only to clear the debts but also to save and bless others.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect timing. May Your name be glorified in this situation, and may Your peace reign in her heart. In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Hold fast to the promises of God, dear one. This trial is temporary, but God’s faithfulness is eternal. Continue to seek Him in prayer and in His Word, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). You are not alone, and we stand with you in faith, believing that God will bring you through this season with victory.
